Italy is blessed to have so many good Middle Blockers. Folie is for sure one of them. They even have Fahr, Bonifacio, Danesi, Lubian, Chirichella, Nwakalor, Squarcini, Gray, Akrari, Alberti, Candi, Melandri, Mazzaro, Graziani, Olivotto, Lualdi, Sartori and all those other youngsters such as: Manfredini, etc…

Italy produces good middle blockers and opposite hitters and liberos. Although its weakness is always the Open or Outside Hitters. Haven't seen many Italian players whose good and excellent in that OH position. If they solved that weakness, there's no doubt that Italy can dominate the olympics and other tournaments.

Io è una vita che mi mangio con gli occhi Folie, la quale ammiro una volta di più, anche perché, come centrale non è nepure altissima...eppure è così efficiente..senza gli infortuni che l'hanno seguita sarebbe stata più incisiva e si sarebbe ritagliata più palcoscenico e premi, credo😊... c'è un ritorno da fare, godiamoci questo momento , meritato(senza dimenticare,come ben evidenzi, che mancava loro una certa centralona e mezza Vargas 😉)con una Milonza che ha già scritto la sua storia e magari...magari...😀

Not gonna lie Milano destroyed Fener. Maybe they underestimated them, i dont know. Fener's defence was really really bad. The center block was close to non-existent today. Which shows how much the team relies on captain Eda. Are they not grooming other successors for that position? Vargas tried her best but you can still see she's not in her best form. That idea of having Ana, Vargas and Ana Christina serve one after the other was good and strategic but still it didn't land them a win. Motivation was really low today but i hope they get back up again. All the best to Fener and congratulations to Milano.

Чтобы сильно играли эти трое Варгас, Арина и Кристина нужна хорошая связующая, а её нет.Лаварини нужно было как можно чаще выпускать на игру Ирину Фетисову, у неё слишком мало практического взаимодействия с другими игроками, а она не хуже Асли и той же Эрдем...

@@user-hp7nq7xj6w Fetisova is definitely a better quality player than Asli, which she proved this game. Fetisova + Eda Erdem should be the go-to middle rotation for Fener, as well as Ana C + Arina for the outside hitter rotation. Lavarini is just not trying out these combinations for whatever reason, and it's really a shame.

Milano played really well but I would not underestimate the second leg, Fenerbahce can come back. Folie was on fire, 16 points in 3 sets (5 attacks, 3 aces, 8 blocks). It was good to see some VIPs in the audience like Gigi Datome and Cuchu Cambiasso.

Credo che a Folie abbiano messo una calamita per palloni sulle braccia in questa partita . Rimane quella che ha la traslocazione a rete più veloce .Sono felice per Cazaute è una ragazza che si merita questi palcoscenici . Gaspari si è giocato la formazione più stabile in ricezione con Sylla Cazaute e Castillo se poi Cazaute ,che non raggiunge le altezze di Bajema in attacco, comincia a giocare a mani e fuori con il muro allora il gioco è fatto. Sono d'accordo sulla partita di ritorno il Fener sulla carta è la squadra più attrezzata per la finale anche se i tre infortuni che hanno subito la condizioneranno non poco

Milano played like a team today, all of them were on fire. To me, Folie and Cazaute were the game changers. We already know how powerful Egonu is, we know Sylla’s creativity and Castillo’s amazing defense but it’s crazy to me that Folie isn’t playing with the national team anymore and that Cazaute has been on the bench a lot this season. Stop hating on the girls, no matter what team or country they’re from, all of them are top players of the world, none of us know what it is.

Without Eda, FB middle block doesn't exist at all. No broad attack, no intimidating hands in blocks. And when you also lack the leadership, this result was inevitable. Sooner or later, FB does need a successor on middle blocker position with intimidating block and broad attack capabilities.

I think v arga is hiding in polie pocket. Because he was bored of playing for NT, his energy had been drained and he looked silent with a black stare and often scratched his eyes.

Para empezar que imoco complica más el pase de milano en todos los partidos. Y el bloque de cone es tan bueno como milano incluso mejor. Y no menos importante tienen a la mejor levantadora del mundo (woloz). Sus puntas son mas consistentes que milano tanto en pase como ataque. Y las posiciones de libero y opuesto dejemoslo en empate

A great team and tactical game from Milano. Vargas was cancelled out by Folie's blocking, and from the look on her face I could see she wasn't going to be able to attack as she wanted. Silla's back-row play was also incredible. Retke and Egonu were at their best. Fetisova came into this team late and could do little. Ana Cristina, at times, looked tired, discouraged.... Milano showed their strength, and Fener showed that without their Eda they're an apathetic team.

Vargas and Ana both came back from a major injury, that's why Ana is playing partial games and Vargas has been only playing for the last 2 weeks. Eda is injured, probably won't be in the next match either. Gizem is tired playing every game because Cansu is injured too. And Lavarini is an idiot. Despite all this, Milano struggled a lot.

Well done Milan, finally the team it should be, a subdued Fener (especially when compared to last year's...) it doesn't diminish the good match where we finally saw a Cazaute give the best of themselves together with Folie and all his teammate. The return will certainly not be a walk in the park, but the conditions are there...

My team Fenerbahçe 💛💙 was way under its potential and far away from its usual performance. To be honest, we were non-existent. No defense, no reception. Poor work from Lavarini. Individual talents of Vargas and Arina of course weren’t enough against a superb team work of Vero Volley. Congrats to Vero Volley. They were amazing. Castillo dug almost every ball, and Folie’s blocks were deadly. Every player contributed greatly to the game. A well-deserved victory. Hope we 💛💙 dust that defeat off and play our usual game at home🤞.That‘s the only way to be able to make it to the finale.

The qualification to the final is not yet sure for the Italian squad because the second leg in Türkiey is gonna be hell hard. The Turkish attack was obvious and easy to anticipate by the Italian block. Vargas should have been substituted by Stisyak for at least half a set because Vargas didn’t vary her attacks so the block learned each trick of her hand. Sure the Italian deserve to win, they were on fire and mentally well prepared. Trust me The second match will show a complete different Fener and the Turkish will reach the final. It’s not easy but not impossible. It’s all about having the mindset of a furious warrior.

Очень жаль! Лаварини не смог подготовить команду к самым ответственным играм. Хотя даже в таком состоянии могли выиграть матч. Слабый прием и слабый блок.Арина играла на своем уровне - успешно подавала и атаковала, но ошибалась на приеме. Она пожалуй была лучшей в составе Фенера. Фетисова играла хорошо , принесла несколько важных очков. но были и ошибки - могла сыграть и получше. Смена тренера и связующей на следующий сезон напрашивается.

@@user-vg8xk4bd1y Мелиха достаточно успешно играет быстрые передачи, почти прострелы, но её удары с высоких передач успешно блокируются, хотя нельзя назвать её маленькой - 1,88 всё-таки, всего-то на пару сантиметров ниже Арины. Может амбиций не хватает? Да для Султанлар лиги и этого хватает.😃

А как мне жаль!😀Волейбольный центр похоже перемещается в Италию. Может Арине податься туда, в команду «Скандиччи» на помощь Екатерине Антроповой, тем более контракт с Фенер кажется в этом году заканчивается. Но это как будет успешна её мама.😀Завтра осталось надломить Бошкович: в противостоянии её с Изабель Хок отдаю предпочтение последней. Бела выглядит много свежее. В любом случае нас ждет хороший волейбол, ради чего мы здесь и собрались.

А вы заметили одну особенность? Позапрошлый год--Чемпион Лиги Вакыф, играет там Хаак, прошлый год--чемпион лиги Вакыф, играет там Игону.. Как только обе ушли из Вакыфа --он сдулся в четвертьфинале. Кто из них круче Хаак или Игону?? Узнаем в мае, я думаю никто не сомневается, что в финале будут именно они..

No, she was shut down worse than this one. Türkiye-Italy Euro volley 2023 semi finals 3rd set. It was not her fault. Cansu Özbay, our national team setter, gave her terrible balls, mostly low and close to net balls, and she got blocked. Vargas likes high and a little bit distant to the net balls. Drca gave Vargas close to net balls and she got blocked. When setter started to give better balls, vargas scored them all. So it wasn’t Vargas’ fault.
