I think cursed it mate, the other band is not going in anywhere near as easy as the first!

Good little trick to know! I haven’t come across a brake system like that yet but if it ever shows up on a future project I’ll have a better idea how to work on them, although that did look like a pain still!

That brake drum looks extremely pitted and rough. Shouldn't it of been changed? Are the brakes smooth with those old drums?
