My clutch fork was worn almost all the way through the one side, also the clutch pin was worn 1/2 way through. I tried to buy new parts, or even used parts, unable to find them. I ended up taking to our machine shop, they welded both up, put a SS hat bushing in the clutch fork, and now its good to go. Love your thorough videos.

That's a good way to do it. Thanks, I tried to be more detailed than most vids so they could help others. I didn't find much detail on KZfaq before I started this project.

I have been watching this fine video, and the assembly video that follows as well. I am wondering, Maybe I missed it. Were the fingers on the clutch adjusted? I need to adjust mine.
@JPN76 Жыл бұрын
I did not adjust them. The measuments given In the book are off of a flat clutch disk and mine had springs In the way. It turned out that they were fine and all three were the correct distance from the throwout bearing once assembled. I forget if it was 1/8 or 1/4 but it was in the manual

Great to see you back on the B. How do you prepare the large parts exterior surface for paint?

Thanks, I just made a post with pics and an explanation of what I did. Currently editing a video of most of the assembly and first fire. Stay tuned!!

@@JPN76 You replied to a reply I asked about your bead blasting small parts which I am currently setting up in my shop but I would like to know how you do the large parts that won't fit in the bead blaster, they look great also.

I have not gotten into my torque tube yet, but is there a bearing inside to help support that shaft?
@JPN76 Жыл бұрын
Nope. The pilot bushing in the flywheel and the transmission input shaft are the only supports.
