Interesting video, its a real shame the 4 speed gearbox was ruined on the Allis as they are super rare! Your model B would have been a very late production model to have that option as Allis Chalmers UK were shifting production on to there model B update - the D270. The old 3 speed was replaced for that upcoming model and was fitted to the last model B's as the parts bin ran out of 3 speed boxes. Your English B wasn't made in Southampton, it would have been built at the Ex-Minneapolis Moline Tractor Factory at Essendine (near Stamford) in Lincolnshire. Also I'd think you'd be interested to know the Minneapolis Moline tractor works at as Essendine built diesel tractors with two English diesel engines available. The first being a 4 cylinder Dorman engine from Stafford, the second option also a 4 cylinder offered by Henry Meadows from Wolverhampton.

Did you make your own spindles and axles for the front axle? I've thought about building wide front axles for several of my tractors , but haven't because of not sure about making the spindles that would hold up. Recently I bought a big Massey Ferguson whole power steering front axle to under my M Farmall. It is supper tight and with the power steering unit built into the axle itself it was a no brainier. But I would like to build my own on smaller tractors , if you could explain how you done it. Like what alloy of steel you used and so forth.

So does England use inch measurements???? I heard you mention.005 thousandths of an inch clearance. Also I had no idea that Allis Chalmers made a factory Perkins diesel B.
