THIS WEEK ON DINERS DRIVE-INS AND DIVES WE ARE AT THE KIRBY CAFE
The Kirby Cafe was genuinely sooo cute and good!!! I'd totally go back. It shot up to my number one recommendation for anyone who wants to experience a character cafe in Tokyo!!! Even if you like Kirby just a bit, you'll enjoy it!!
Also went to school and the Chiyoda Lantern Festival this week~ Honestly it was a bit too hot and crowded for me to enjoy it as much as possible, but it was really pretty in person!! Sorry, honestly the footage is garbage because it was SO DARK 😅 iphone come onnnnn

A very nice video Allison. Kirby cafe sounds really nice. But yes.. I think living in Tokyo can be hazardous to your wallet especially if you're an otaku. 😁

I hope I have downtime during my study abroad next year for visiting the Kirby Cafe! 😅😁 It’s easily one of my favorites you’ve been to/shown us. THE DRINKS OMG 🥺 thanks for taking us along!

I had only been to Skytree once, that the view of the entire Tokyo looks brilliant. Also, even I haven't played any video games on Kirby, a Kirby themed cafe looks pretty great, as everywhere and every treat are so cute. Along with a fantastic Lantern Festival, which is bright. Good luck on your university studies, Miss Allison, do your best.

Thank you for sharing, I so enjoyed it all. I live in the states in pennsylvania Pa. Long way from Japan ,I am retired now would have loved to visit Japan but this grandmom is to old now....lol...so enjoying it by your shares and sweet personality. That was a great video! It was almost up to 90 for me yesterday, which is way too warm for my state. So I feel for you, plus all that humidity too. I would want to go to Tokyo Tower first if I had to pick which mainly because I have seen it in some of my favorite anime. The lanterns were cool to see, and a great community event to do that anyone can enjoy. So thanks for showing us the pretty lights and braving the crowds! The Kirby Cafe looked too cute! I would go to it for sure. Otherwise I would have to say a Sakura one, Sailor Moon if they do them, anything on the cute side. Thinking about places in Tokyo, did the giant Ferris Wheel getting taken down or close down??? Because it has been on my bucket list for Japan for ever and I would be very sad if this was true.... I can't remember if it was in Japan or the one in London that was closed... As always thanks for the video!

I only went to the Gundam Café in Akihabara back in 2018. Idk if it still excites. My friend wanted to go and since we were on this trip together I joined her. Although I didn’t know the Anime back then, it was really fun. So I‘d definitely go to another one if I had the chance. Maybe from something I know. But since I’m back into anime I guess there are a lot I’d like to see 😆

Also never been on the Skytree before, always preferred Tokyo Tower cause of „tradition“ and maybe - maaaaayyyyybeeeeee because of Detective Conan. 😂 Totally agree with the quality of food in character cafés though. The only really good food I had was surprisingly in a Gudetama cafe in Osaka where I had white curry. That was amazing, but the portion was so small and it was really expensive. But I felt satisfied cause it was so cute 😂
