I was in Kawagoe a week ago, I really enjoyed my day trip there. It was a very touristy thing to do but near the bell tower is a place to make your own chopsticks- it was a fun souvenir.

I like these videos as an inspiration for vacation planning. Next time we'll not be in Tokyo for long and instead focus on okinawa and Kyushu, but we were thinking of doing a day trip to the village next to Fuji you showed in a video not toooo long ago.

I need to go back to Kawagoe - I went there last year in April with a Japanese acquaintance and it was raining really heavily all day. Personally I would have given up because it was miserable and cold, but my Japanese friend was determined that we would enjoy Kawagoe, lol. We walked the main streets and went in some shops where I was embarassed to be dripping on their floors, we also had a nice lunch in a traditional restaurant known for its grilled eel cuisine. Eventually I influenced her to return to the station where we had a much nicer time in a warm English tea shop.

I hope you get to try it again with sun!! Rain can really ruin a trip sometimes 🥲

It took me nearly half a century and nearly twelve thousand miles to find my true love. I hope you find yours sooner and less distance traveled. You'll know it when time slows down to a crawl. Love your videos. We're planning a trip to Japan next year in November. Would have been this year however we already made plans to see New York City.

@@marta9854 for the past few years my wife and I have found a lot of enjoyment from going different places. We love trying the different food. We have a list of places to stop to eat at in New York. We will need a list of places for Japan that we can do in two weeks.

Re 21, while true also remember that a life shake up is exactly what many need to radically disrupt bad patterns. Don’t use travel to “fix” yourself, but also it can open your horizon and teach you that the problems in your life might not be as big as you think. Trying something new can really reset your mindset.

It's not a good idea to come to Japan right now. There are too many foreign tourists. If you do come, it's better to avoid the famous tourist spots.

Recently found out about your channel, and I've been binging it non-stop! I know it might be a weird question, but, do you have any advice for someone that's Japanese that cannot read/ write in their native language? I think I'm going back to Japan, in a month or so. Any advice about adapting in Japan, or about Jobs? ( The obvious thing is to learn but anything else?)

Can we please stop making KZfaq videos just ads now I literally have to listen to ads to watch the video without KZfaq red and I have to spend part of the video listening to a plug for a sponsor so over KZfaq might as well just listen to audio books on Audible or something sorry but it’s just becoming a huge thing and some videos have multiple ads in them feels like cable where a 30 min show now has 10 mins of ads.

I do understand where you're coming from. However, if you want to be a supporter of the channel/ the acting person behind the camera, you'd actually be happy for them because they're making money from what they love doing. Creating content for the viewers every week.

I personally like to self-study Vietnamese using Immersive Translate. I use it to watch Netflix every day, and have already vastly improved my language skills. By combining my entertainment time with my language learning, I’m able to save a lot of time. It’s been working out great so far for me, and I’ve already learned a lot.

The best thing is that they supply hair conditioner! I've travelled so many places and the hotels will have shampoo and shower gel but no conditioner, and my hair is fine and tangles very badly, so it's a disaster. Japanese hotels always have the best amenities.
