Having a bias is not a bad thing as long as you are respectful and aren't hating on the other members. All the members are beautiful, talented and precious human beings, it's just that sometimes one person's personality or characteristics will resonate more with you or you might relate more to one person and I think that's OK. It doesn't stop you loving the group as a whole.

Having a bias is very very normal! A bias is just a member that you resonate with more than the rest. As long as you can appreciate all 7 of the members, it’s all good! The only thing we don’t like is when someone solo stans a member. That’s when you only like 1 member and wish they left the group. Personally I bias Jin~ he’s hilarious and has such a simple yet important mindset that really resonates with me. Also when it comes to content like this, captions aren’t really necessary (most of the time). These videos typically have their own subtitles edited into the video, and captions just covers it up.

Carpool karaoke introduced me to BTS in 2020. I’ve never heard or seen them before. Jimin caught my eyes and then RM because he speaks English. I told myself, “Who is this good looking guy (Jimin) who looks like he’s only 12?” 😂 Well the rest is history. I checked them out and fell down the rabbit hole faster than I could ever imagine. I didn’t know anything ‘Korean’ except Gangnam Style by Psy. Now we’re all about K-drama, k-pop, k-beauty, k-food, k-fashion, etc. 💜💜 love it so much we visited Korea in 2022. Carpool caraoke is such an iconic appearance, I think it was the gateway drug for many armys who joined in 2020 lmao. Such a gem 🤩 Since you're diving into non music content you'll encounter a lot of subtitles so here's 4 steps to easly figure them out: 1) Does the video have hard subs? --> Great, you're good to go. No further steps required ✅ 2) If no hard subs: Does it have CC? --> Check if it's actual subtitles or autogenerated closed captions. 3) If actual subtitles --> fantastic, you're good to go ✅ 4) If autogenerated CC --> search for video title + "eng sub" in the search bar for a properly subtitled video ✅ *TIPP: If CC are turned on automatically when starting the video, pay attention if they actually translate or just transcribe.* If they only transcribe, they are either covering up hard subtitles like they did in this video or the video does not have proper translation. For example at 8:42 the subs transcribe what is already in English and completly cover up the translations for the answer the Suga is giving. Some other American TV shows rely soley on RM or professional interpreters to translate what the members are saying. Hard subs = Subtitles that are directly embeded in the video itself, like the Korean conversations in this Carpool Karaoke video Soft subs/CC = can be turned on in the settings and customized in font size and style Technically CC is closed captions, so transcribing for example sproken English to written English. On KZfaq however you can find actual translations via the CC button too. *Since you're intersted in getting to know the members themselves more, I'll leave som recommendations:* *If you are a fan of talk shows,* I recommend checking out the show "Suchwita". It is hosted by Suga himself where he did interviews with each member individually to talk about their solo released, be nostalgic about the past and look forward to the future. *If you're a fan of variety shows and games,* check out the show Run BTS (not to be confused with the song Run BTS or Run by BTS 😂) There's over 100 episodes going as far back as 2015 so it seems like a huge mountain, but armys can surely recommend you some standout episodes to check out 😊

This was my introduction to BTS. I’ve never looked back. They were so funny and warm. I immediately got the warm and fuzzies. The SECOND Jungkook hit that high note from ON, he hit my heart and has been my bias ever since. Just WOW!!!! 💜🥰 Love this journey for you dude.

I love that you're shocked by how good they sound just sitting in the car. That's the point of the show my friend haha. Obviously not all the artists sound as good, but a solid amount sound fantastic and give it their all.

i love all of the members but Yoongi has my heart and Jimin is winking at me from behind yoongi telling me to join him LOL but yes i love all the boys they are each special in thir own way but yoongi is my bias... They changed my life for the better i owe them my life... i was abused by my ex husband for 5 yrs and as soon as i left him i was so lost and i hated who i was i was not happy and i was on my way to school one day and i was looking over my XM radio music and i hear I NEED YOU i parked in the side of the road and i cried like crazy i looked over the lyrics and the meaning of the song and i was in love with 7 wonderful men who opened my eyes and made me realize i was special and that if no one could ever love me for me then as long as i loved myself and i had 7 amazing men telling me i was loved that was all i needed. Jimin is my bias, I first noticed him when BTS was on SNL. However, I didn't really get into BTS until I rewatched the Bruno Mars carpool karaoke and this one came up right afterwards, and I watched it during the boring days of the pandemic. I was captivated by their talent but also their sense of humor that was revealed here. I was immediately hooked and went to watch the videos of the songs they sang (ON, Mic Drop, Black Swan) and have not gone a day without watching some sort of BTS content ever since. 💜

This right here is what sent me down the rabbit hole. I was watching a bunch of carpool karaoke and when this one popped up, JHope was so cute vibing that I needed to know his name. Now I’m deep in a parasocial relationship with 7 insanely talented men from Korea. 😂 Hobi’s smile is a gateway drug.

Car pool karaoke got me into BTS. I could not take my eyes off J-Hope as he was like quicksilver - I went hunting on KZfaq and here I am a good few years later. I am OT7 but Jin is my bias I just absolutely adore his personality and humour - you saw a snippet of it here. I am in favour of being OT7 at core because they are all parts of a whole and all contribute equally and uniquely to who they are- as a group and in all their permutations. As much as I am in awe of their talent, who they are as people is just phenomenal- they are my happy pill. I watch them every day and that ensures at the very least, that I am happy for part of every day. I don’t think they have any idea of just how hugely they contribute to the mental health of army - so my recommendation is to watch videos like this in addition to their music to really get to know them

It took me 4 yrs to finally have a bias!!! It's Suga aka Agust D!!! Every time he gives a true smile (like when JK graduated), it melts my heart. I can feel his pain and frustration when he just talks about his struggles because I either went through it or have known someone who did. I love how he broke down when his family came to his concert because no matter what we always want the support from our parents. Love you Suga. You are almost the little brother I always wanted!!! We now have to meet to make it official!!!!💜💜💜💜😜😝☺😉🤓😘

This was like the second BTS video I've ever watched and their energy and humor really made me want to check them out more 💜 Having a bias is totally normal so long as you respect all the members. Jimin was the first one to catch my attention with his warm personality then eventually JK became my ultimate bias, but I still have a very special place in my heart for Jimin. I feel like at the end of the day you can't help but love all 7 of them though whether it's their personalities, incredible music or unique vocals and skills there's really nothing not to like I admire all of them so much 👏

Tae has been my bias since I became an ARMY on 2015 but that doesn't mean I love the other members any less. He's just the one that really caught my attention but I can never imagine him without his members. It's always 7 or nothing.

I think many ppl are OT7, but having a bias is not a bad thing as long as you don't become toxic and hate on the other boys. Jimin is my bias because he's the one who got me into BTS with his voice and dancing. I'm a sucker for contemporary dancing. Jungkook and SUGA are my bias wreckers. Jungkook is the all around maknae good at everything, and Min Yoongi is a genius song writer and rapper. Together, all these crackheads make up the best group and you definitely need to watch their other content to see more of their personalities, like you did here. The BTS RUN episodes are great, and you don't need to watch from the beginning. They do break them up into groupings of 2 or 3 episodes, and ARMY can help with their favorites when you're ready. I am a Filipino but I learned English by watching US animated shows and cartoons. And now I'm working virtually for a company in the US talking to American people for hours lol... I definitely relate to RM

SO much talent in that car for real!! No one can do it like BTS! And still be so down to earth and relatable! Jimin is my bias but love them as a group. They genuinely seem to love each other like brothers which is so rare in the music industry. 💜

RM's english is amazing, but i think something that fans who maybe only speak english don't immediately understand, is that him watching Friends to srtudy, would have been in addition to English lessons at school, and after school tutoring. He even says that it was a bit of a trend for moms to get dvds for their kids.

I just wanted to know their names and it was like a game with my sister to figure out their names. All of the sudden I’m searching them on KZfaq and social media and barely sleeping because I was so invested on these AMAZING group of men like no other. It was V who was the bait, JK hooked me in, but then Jimin out of nowhere became by ultimate bias. Okay! I want to recommend MAMA 2016 BTS Boy VS Evil Pt 1&2, Blood Sweat & Tears, Fire This is one of the first award shows where BTS was earing respect. Jimin and JHope's beginning dance will leave you speechless. If you really want emotion look up BTS Mama 2016 (same show) Wins - when Suga has a good ugly cry, you will cry too. BTS not only made Kpop Global but also made it Kpop fans realize you can like more than one group. Back before them everyone only like one group and would hate any other group, it is crazy. EXO fan used to H A T E BTS fans, the war was crazy. BTS has changed that. :)

I’m definitely OT7, but I must admit that my eyes lock on Jimin when they’re dancing. I’m so attracted to Suga as a deep thinker and musical genius. When he raps, it is mesmerizing. But I also love whoever is in the center of a performance. I love that they all share the stage. Each member adds something so unique to every song.

I'm a Hobi girl but I love so many things about all of them. They all shine so brightly, but Hobi's music and personality just tip the balance a tiny bit. Although I've had RM Wildflower and JK Standing Next To You as two of my top played songs recently.

This was one of the first things we watched as new Army, but the more i have seen this, the more it annoys me that they have such wonderful and underrated songs, both title tracks and album tracks, and they used up time with western artist covers

I honestly don’t think you can help it if you have a bias. The first thing I saw was “Run BTS” dance practice and for some reason JK grabbed me. I found myself looking for him. Then next I saw “ON Kinetic Manifesto” and he has been my bias ever since, BUT I do honestly love all of them. I don’t think it’s bad. It can become obnoxious if a reactor goes on and on about their bias and only points him out, but you are not like that at all. It’s apparent that you like them all. You should also watch the crosswalk concert. I would LOVE to see you watch the fan made docuseries “Rise of Bangtan”. It is the best documentary out there on them imo. If you do watch it you HAVE to also watch the Bonus and the Deleted scenes. You will miss so much if you don’t. This series shows you their history, they interpersonal relationships, gives clips of songs… it has it all.

They are so much fun and helped make this segment stand out from the others. I liked that they got to let loose and sing some of their personal favorites - I know they really like Bruno Mars and Post Malone. Jimin is a great dance teacher and none of us are surprised. As far as biases go, I feel the most connected to Yoongi and Jimin, but they all bias-wreck me all the time. We can't help but be drawn to some people more than others, but all 7 of them are so talented and such great people, that it doesn't matter who your bias is, they all deserve the love and admiration.

A good way to get deeper into BTS is the youtube series "Rise of Bangtan"! It's 21 episodes I think, documenting BTS's journey from the start of their career and through their different eras. A must watch for new ARMYs!! You could do it parallel to the album reviews of each era

I first listened to BTS in 2015 but never really got into it and its one of my biggest regrets because i missed i think two or so years of just pure talent, Ive been an army since 2017 and to be honest at first my Bias was Rm but as i grew with BTS and ARMY im a mix between ot7 and Taehyung. I think tae is so unique from the others hes got this energy about him that is so welcoming that its hard not to like him. I love all the boys and being an ARMY.

The Dumpling Fight between Jimin & V is Iconic!! They didn't speak to each other for 2 weeks. There is KZfaq video out there of them talking about it. Who knew that incident would create 2 songs because of that fight. The song "Friends" (Jimin & V), not to be confused with V's song "Fri(end)s" though. And the song 4 O'clock (V & RM). 💜

My journey with BTS started when I was looking for a gift for a friend 😊 I learned that my friend likes BTS so I searched for BTS related gifts. But when I saw the funko pop, I dont know who is who. My friend loves Worldwide Handsome so I watched this carpool karaoke to figure out but it did not help because all of them are handsome! 🤣 I really fell for BTS watching this because of their personalities, they are just fun and they sound good live even without proper equipment in the car. JK will do karaoke for Hours on his Lives and if you want fun and chaotic you should watched Suga’s talk/drink show, Suchwita. Episode 15 is with JK and Yoongi provided meat, JK brought the booze and they had a karaoke machine, so a JK Live. There was a supplemental part to that episode because of that😂

bias is to favor one or two members more than the others some fans take the bias thing so serios that at some point it could lead to a war between the fans from the same community for us the army we have some toxic fans destroying anything not related to their bias but we have the others the more open and easy to deal who have a bias or two but still cheering for the other members cous without them we dont have a bias for me i have two bias Jk and Suga and at the same time i care about the other 5 and support them with anything i can fight for them if it take to protect them cous as i say before without them we dont have a bias i hop i found my explanation easy god bless

We don't like James Corden anymore either. He made some weird jokes that didn't sit right with us and BTS (specifically RM) actually called him out on it. They really went on to humiliate him on his own show to defend us. It was honestly hilarious

As I have come to understand it, a bias is not a bad thing at all and it doesn't necessarily mean you like the other members less. It is just someone that particularly catches your eye, like when they are all on the screen at once, your eyes wander to that one member first or you pay extra attention to that member. I feel like that's why in K-Pop we don't really say "I have a favorite" bur rather "I have a bias", it sounds a little nicer and less exclusive of other members. Hope this makes sense
