Wills Tri Series In India 1994
The 1994-95 Wills World Series was a One Day International (ODI) cricket tri-series where the India played host to the West Indies and New Zealand. India and the West Indies reached the final at the Eden Gardens where close to 100,000 witnessed India beat the West Indies.[1]
India lost only once, controversially to the West Indies in the last group game. Manoj Prabhakar and Nayan Mongia were accused of not making an effort to win the match after stonewalling the run-chase. The Indian authorities suspended Prabhakar and Mongia and the match referee Raman Subba Row docked the team two points for not playing in the spirit of the game. India protested the decision to the ICC, who ruled that the Row had exceeded his authority.[2]
Subba Row also suspended the West Indies vice-captain Brian Lara for one game, for arguing with the umpire, who he thought should've consulted the third umpire before giving him out stumped.[3]
New Zealand did not win any of their four games, though they were unlucky to see the match washed out after dismissing the West Indies cheaply in the opening game.[4]

I think this is the last occasion that Sachin wore the Cap during batting. He was very fluent before got bowled and just changed his helmet before that drinks break. Vintage Vinod Kambli , he played well in that series especially in final. He used to play "Yuvaraj " roles in middle order those days.

During this Match Azhar crossed the mile stone of 5000 runs. First Indian to cross 5000 runs. I really remember this match. I was in class 10. Chetan Sharma bowled an expensive over of 23 runs. This being his last match. The first series after Kapil Dev retirement.

N Chetan Sharma came back to India team as prabhakar was taken out from the team for couple of matches as he deliberately played slow in previous matches

I turned 10 just 4 days before this match & asked my dad to take me to this match as a bday gift....this was the first ever match I saw at the stadium..Sachin was the MOM I guess.Till date the best diwali & best gift of my life. #nostalgic

Fantastic batting performance by infia. A huge total back in the day, almost impossible to achieve it. But after that epic chase of 300+ runs, 314 i think, against Pakistan in banglabondu stadium . It was high drama that night there, football stadium , so flood lights were not up to the standards of cricket where leather ball is smaller and moves faster making it difficult for both fielding and batting teams. Azar was so determined to win that he refused to leave the ground when umpires called of play due to bad light. Eventually ind won and that showed the cricketing world that target of 300+ is achievable if the chasing team maintains a RR of 4 to 6 in the first 20 overrs and about 6 to 8 in the next 20overs. The last 10 overs is slog, aiming to get 10rpo. Then there was this another march aus vs rsa, 400+ runs which was chased down with a few overs to share. That proved that no target is impossible, super hard maybe but achievable if determination and focus is high. Gutsy players are needed to bring the total closer and closer. By this time, opponents will give up victory hopes and just go throw the motions to wind up the game and go sit in a hot water bath, aoothibg the rired and sunbaked muscles and skin. Hot climate, makes you sweat out all the water from your body.

I watched this match at Feroz Shah I was in the stadium and was in my 3 rd year of my college I clearly remember this match played on diwali I took a bus from golcdhak khana to Feroz Shah stadium and remember Chetan Sharma been hit for 5 fours and crowd shouting Stephen Fleming to hit 6 fours but he missed on last ball and still remember drinking beer in the interval at Daryaganj restaurant after Indian innings and enjoying NZ bat to lose miss those days nostalgic😁

We had a wonderful team in 1992-1996. We were hot favorites in 1996 worldcup. But the way Sri Lanka groomed itself to be a lion was unexpected. Sri Lanka was unbeatable in 1996. And that sri lankan team dominated the international cricket for next four years. Snath Jayasuriya, Arjuna ranatunga, Aravind dsliva, kaluvitharana, muttiah murali dharan, atapattu, chaminda vaas. They were a nightmare to watch.

I was in 2nd standard. Three memories I have from this match - 1. Tendulkar’s blazing innings and the leg glance that goes for four. 2. Bryan Young c Yadav b Srinath (it’s not there in this video, could you find it?) 3. Kambli getting Doull stumped.

No friends it was Chhoti diwali that day I was in std IV that time. I still remember those days when even test matches were shown live on DD1. Those days cricket was passion not money driven and listening to match on Radio was like taking bath in River Ganga.

That time Run Score very difficult for batsman, beacuse look the Grounds are so big , boundries are almost 100 meters. sachinTendulker play in very tough time. Today time all thing favour for batsman Short boundries , 2 new balls, power plays.
