You should bring in a special speaker on Sunday to talk about Atheist Universalism. The theistic definition of Universalism in a nutshell is “There are multiple paths to God, everybody gets to go to heaven, and hell does not exist”. This is a very theistic definition of universalism. To me an agnostic or atheist friendly (and philosophical) definition of universalism is this. “We are mortal and only have one life. There are multiple religious and (secular) philosophical paths that uphold a common ethical code, and multiple teachers that can show us how to approach the capital G Good Life (Aristotle used the Greek term eudaimonia) and they all lead to the same conclusions. Avoid theft, violence, cheating, and treat your fellow human being, and the Eath well. Pursue good strong ethics and the cultivation of virtue.
