Newbie DM & Patton Oswalt had a baby! Absolutely love your channel and am in awe of the to camera monologues/lectures you deliver. The consideration, effort and skill you bring to this channel and, no doubt your games, elevates the hobby. I have noticed there is a Matt Colville influence in some of your videos - your voice drops lower and your cadence mirrors his (maybe you were bingeing running the game at the time?) That is not a criticism just an observation. I salute you, sir!

Thank you for the words. I think highly of Colville as a creator so I'll take that as a great compliment! Glad you find value here

Great advice as always. For my current campaign, I've done a fair amount of picking ideas here and there from various medias and turning it into my own world. I do have a special place set aside for bringing in Planet Apocalypse 5E to some extent if I can start getting my players herded in that direction. I usually try to have a number of story ideas lined up for each session and hope that the players don't stray too far from the decisions they made at the end of the previous session. When it comes to that, I can always throw a pack of Kobolds, Goblins, or whatever on the table to add some conflict while I think on what to do next. Yeah. Managing my players can be very similar to herding cats at times, but it still ends up being fun for everyone involved.

You’ve said all the right words. Fun is where it’s at. What is Planet Apocalypse? Regardless, if you’re excited about it, try and get your players on board. It’s important that you enjoy as well! Thanks for the comment

Planet Apocalypse 5E is book from Petersen Games. It's definitely one of my favorite third party books.
