ManI have watched so so many videos about this subject. You by far have made the comparison so much easier to break up the small differences and details. The detail in the driving video and the color differences with water really should what the differences are. Thanks for showing that extra difference between the two with specs and practical shots!

I don't watch much TV during the day except during lunch time when I'm working from home so I went with the OLED. The perfect blacks are just stunning. I found the high end mini LED 75" and OLED 77" TV's were priced very similar. So price isn't an issue anymore, it's just down to personal preference.

Great video, I brought the 75" QNED91 last year and its been amazing. I was on the fence between this and a C1 at the time, and with price being a factor the QNED represented such good value it was hard to pass up. I can say it's been a great choice and I've been very happy with it. In December I added an XBOX Series X and gaming on this screen with 120Hz, ALLM and AMD FreeSync has been pure joy. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a top tier LG screen packed with the latest features, with support for 120Hz VRR gaming but at a good price.

The detail and accuracy when showing the water and the road make the QNED seem even better. I already liked it more before seeing this because I went into BestBuy to see them in person and the QNED TV has better viewing angles without getting dark since in a living room, not everybody gets to sit directly in front of the TV and some are at more of an angle. Plus the QNED is $400 less for the same size and specs. (65")

Damn it! I thought I was sold on the OLED but this video changed literally everything. Now I'm going to go back and double check because the prices from a G2 OLED to a QNED that is actually slightly bigger, is MASSIVE by about 400%. $4,800 for a G2 OLED and only $1,600 for a QNED. Guess I should go QNED and just be happy with such a massive savings.

I feel like while oled has infinite contrast and deepest of blacks, oleds have to be maxed out almost just to brighten the image especially in brighter rooms. I have an LG CX and I am having to push the brightness during the day, when a miniled doesnt have to be pushed super hard to achieve a satisfactory brightness level. If you can own both technologies, then that will give you the best of both worlds and you wont have to push your oled as hard, but also have access to infinite contrast. Also, very Timely video

Now at night time if watching a movie i personally like to see it in the proper dark room setting with no lights on to give me the experience. And for that OLED is just amazing. The again the ABL is an issue for me with OLED. I do agree miniled is close enough and its good enough for me but I have to see LGs processing this year with the new QNED90 of 2022. It’s super bright, and I never have to worry about burn-in or dimming features since I’m using it as a PC monitor. Also, the antireflective treatment on this particular model is amazing. The screen looks pitch black in even in daytime when the room is bright, I can barely see my reflection in it, yet it doesn’t have that dull matte screen look either.

The big problem with OLED, beside some of the obvious issues, is that just like the old CRT sets and Plasma screen, *THEY CAN AND DO "BURN IN" EASILY.* In fact, from reports I've seen, the OLEDS actually BURN IN easier than old CRTs and Plasmas. And I KNOW how easily plasma TVs burn in. Years ago, I was playing a game and fell asleep for 30 mins! The game was on a static screen with white secions. When I woke up, I was in horror as the image was burned into the screen. HOWEVER, thank the TechnoGawds, Panasonic has a special feature to "fix" this and it did an excellent job. But still, PHEW! Close on. I've seen CRTs sets of old that had permanent burn in, mostly when people were doing house work and left the TV on the then "news" channels that had very static bright lines and text that never ever changed. Some where so bad that the burn was so deep that it corrupted the image of normal TV shows. Back then, I replace a lot of CRTs for people who wanted to get rid of that problem. Of course, I laid out the reality that if I change the CRT, they MUST NOT leave the channel on anything that doesn't have action on it (no static images). I also made it clear that the WARRANTY ON THE NEW TUBE does NOT cover burn in. -I'll have to assume for now that the OLED MAKERS have that same verbiage in their warranties.- *[EDITED HERE]* Ok, I just had to check and sure enough, LG and Sony (at least) do have verbiage in their warranty information that: *image retention and burn-in are not covered on their OLED TVs.* So before going to buy an OLED, PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF THIS! The burn in is PERMANENT and can't be removed! So if you're a sports fan, THINK ABOUT IT WELL before jumping in. Many sports things have static stuff on the screen that doesn't change. THAT WILL BURN IN!

I also just picked up the 55 qned85 from Costco in Canada during the blowout pricing. I specifically chose it for our gaming room because I didn't want to deal with potential Oled burn in. Have to say, it's a pretty great picture. Once you dial in the settings based on your lighting environment I think you will be happy. I'm sure there are better pictures to be had but I am more than happy with the picture I am getting and don't think the price can be beat.

I am leaning towards OLED but I might pick up the best Mini LED TV and compare side by side and return the worst. I am coming from C9 OLED and loooove the deep blacks and awesome contrast. However, the LG G2 is far brigther than the C2 and might have beat that Mini LED in brightness :P I am learning more towards QD-OLEDs tho, depending on price, we will see. Sony A95K is the dream but expensive 😒

QD OLED have bad black levels. The quantum dot colour filter isn't 100% transparent so black levels are slightly higher. Plus the QD panels are the same panel as the C2 running Sony or Samsung tech on top. I've got a G2 and I can say you will be happy with it. I had the TV in this video and I'm convinced he's bias. The blooming was horrible. Yes it's smaller thanks to mini led but it's still a halo around bright things. The intro to altered carbon on Netflix really shows it's failings. The black room with neon eyes of soldiers is what made me sit up and go wtf? Then I went down the rabbit hole of test patterns and hated the TV more and more. Returned it and got the G2. Much better

This is experimental technology, his job is to work on the processors and develop firmware. (We do his Insurnace so that information is disclosed other details are “confidential”.) If you think about it OLED does have perks but they did just jump to QD tech for that extra brightness. In perspective this client was given the first TV in 2012.... a whole decade ago the latest experimental model is 2017. From what I know right now I’d guess 5 years and we’ll be getting 8K mini LED TVs that outperform OLEDs by a landslide, it really did look incredible just from photos.
