@@kerrydonk8272 Have you read your history on the Alamo and the Americans who were there?
@kerrydonk8272
@kerrydonk8272 4 жыл бұрын
Kathy Norris yes and I’ve visited. I feel your statement embodies a greater degree of importance of the siege than the reality. More important was the Battle of San Jacinto won/lead by Houston which secured Texas’ Independence from Mexico. They’re being heroes is open for debate. Houston (Commander in Chief) argued that due to insufficient troop numbers the fort should be abandoned. He was right and just because the 200 or so troops made the decision to dig in doesn’t meant it was a smart or heroic decision. They could have followed orders, and fought another day with Houston at San Jacinto

A MEXICAN Victory of all time! It's nice to see Texas celebrate a Mexican victory every year! Travis would commit shoot himself in the head, when he saw all was lost. Bowie would be discovered hiding under his covers fearing for his fraud of a life, and would be killed in that way. And of course, as everyone knows by now, Crockett would surrender to the Mexican soldiery only to be executed moments later! Some heroes!
