Comparison and test of Alnico 2, 4 and 5 magnets in one reference set 8Bomb '59 PAF clone. Recorded through a BluGuitar AMP1 Mercury Edition amplifier.
I am starting preparations for the Guitar Summit 2023 which will be held in Mannheim (Germany) on September 22-24. You can help me in this matter, as this trip will not be easy for me. I'm driving alone in my old Peugeot (which is currently being repaired) and I can't do without your help. You can support me in several ways:
1) Subscribe to a new Patreon level called Band of Brothers or subscribe to the Maker level if you're not already there.
2) You can buy or order a set of my PAF clones at a special price (promo code on the website: brothers_in_arms, or write to me at )
3) You can purchase a high resolution poster (digital printable photo by Rodion Kovenkin) of one of my projects. You can select an image here: www.8bombcustom.com/galery
4) You can also simply support me through PayPal with any convenient for you amount: 8bombdovnar@gmail.com (please indicate transfer as "family or friends" and comment "Donation for Guitar Summit trip" .
5) You can buy my merch. True, this will not support me very much financially, but I like the idea 😁
Thank you friends!

Thank you, Mr. Nitro, for saving the video on the channel for dustpans. I like to review old atmospheric videos from that channel in my native language. Thanks for the answers and tips in the comments under the video about creating pickups. Alex, I wish prosperity to your business in recreating ancient instruments.

Dr. Nitro, I've learned a lot from your videos, thanks! I'm about to build a Les Paul Junior and give it a nitro TV Yellow finish. I saw the videos on you relic'ing one, but look forward to you someday spraying that finish, the way Gibson did, as I'm sure you would. Thanks, keep up the great work and very informative videos!

They all sound very good indeed. Always been a fan of the A2, they sound very distinctive. I admire your attention to detail. And your English is constantly improving!

As a lover of only AlNiCo2 and 5, I‘m now pleasantly surprized by the AlNiCo4! Wow, the richness is outstanding! Kruto!! The 2 has all the fine clarity, the 5 has the growl and the oomph, and the 4 has all what’s missing between 2 and 5 or the perfect mix of both. Don‘t know if this happens because a perfect match to that specific guitar and body… or in general…. or because you wound those pickups…. I will look more intense for proof. I think it‘s because you wound personally those AlNiCo4- never heard sooo goood 4‘s. Thank you master for the enlightenment! Wish you much success in Mannheim!!🤘🏻💪🏼😎 Greetings from Pforzheim! (90 km apart) Maybe I will come to see you and buy your AlNiCo4 PAF.

Hey man, can you tell me the title and version of the song at the end? I know it's Hit The Gas but i cannot find the rock version like you play :) It sounds amazing with your guitar and pickups!

Thank you. Unfortunately, you won't find this track online, as it was my demo track for one of my former band's songs. We were playing in the Audioslave style at the time, and I decided to cross the Chemical Brothers beat with our riffs. There were no lyrics yet, so I inserted Snoop Dogg, as the song matched the rhythm. Unfortunately, this demo turned out better than the final song, but I accidentally deleted the folder with the multitrack and now I can't do a proper mix. I'll have to record it again. The final song plays in my intro and you can watch the video here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9eqfpeYrrSwfp8.htmlsi=KwtcWd-n4gV3U0nN

Short weekend a5 sound good in the neck with the right wind and offset, long week a5 does too.even at a2 strength levels it seams to be a little brighter and not flub the speakers with the bass and bends the note blooms and gets louder before it dies out . To my ears any way.not a pro like you just learning as I go.great player and skills you have for building guitars and pickups , thanks for sharing and your work .

The truth is that the comparisons are quite good, but it is frustrating to see a long video with the guitar out of tune the entire video

Hola, me gustan mucho tus trabajos, pero los audios que subiste hoy carecen de calidad y no se aprecia claramente el soniido de tus Pickups. Hello, I really like your work, but the audio you uploaded today lacks quality and the sound of your Pickups is not clearly appreciated.

You need to do something about the accent, or broadcast in Russian))
@8BombCustom

Thanks for the advice. But I have one important note: only people who speak their native language do not have an accent. And that's not always the case. I can speak 5 languages (German, Polish, English, Belarusian, Russian, a few more (Ukrainian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Czech...) I can understand. I think if you try to say some phrase in my native Belarusian, then we too let's have fun. )) By the way, I closed the Russian-language channel not so long ago, since this audience does not understand at all that I speak their language))
