I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this scene. This performace is exceptional. The whole movie was hearthbreaking too, but it worths every second of it.

Cillian"s performace throughout this entire film is fucking phenomenal but this scene alone is platinum Not gold Platinum Up against an actress whose been in the game since he was maybe nine? An actress who is not only legendary for her beauty but her own acting choices and chops?! Holy gamoley!

As I see, the scene was taken from Aloft final cut. It doesn’t show us that right after Ivan's mother touched his head saying ‘It’s too much to bear, Ivan’, he raised his head and looked right into her eyes. And what a look was! He’d been waiting for these mom’s words since the tragedy day. He was finally free from his inner prison. It’s a shame they preferred to cut out 12 minutes with a couple of sex scenes and that very one too. Try to find Aloft with the length of 1:48:06.
