Three years ago I set off by myself for an abandoned prison in the middle of nowhere. The video was the first of what would soon be known as the ALONE series. For the first time ever, I'm providing commentary on the events that transpired during this explore.

I love your "alone" series! Please don't let the trolls or doubters get to you, as you're way more genuine than most of the other explorers I've seen. There's always going to be commenters who try to pick everything apart, and they can just go faff off. They're miserable know-it-alls, who in reality know nothing, nor would they ever have the courage to do the things you're doing. 🐺⛺️😱

Nice thing about this commentary is learning about the little things I haven't noticed before while watching Alone Ep. 1, like the footprints. I love the added insight in explaining everything that went into making the vid what it is. And honestly, I can't wait to hear/see more vids like this.

I remember the shot at exactly 19:15 startled me. Because it looked to me, at a glance, as if there is a dead body in a chair, a burned body even, the part of the torn up chair that you can see just looks like a pair of seated legs. It freaked me out.

23:47 when you pan down into the water, you are so very lucky you didn't step into that gaping hole. that really freaked me out the first time i saw this video and now again. that would have been bad.😳 yeah, you're right about algonquin - mainly loons and owls at night and just scurrying around. in all the years we've been going there we've only heard wolves once and that was this past year and very very faintly. there will always be sceptics of anything and everything. thank you for the commentary! it was interesting to hear the 'behind the scenes' . looking forward to more (and can't wait to see the new ADRs soon to drop!)

So cool of you, doing a commentary on this awesome over night camp, abandoned place. I saw it when you posted it years ago. Back then, the thought of bears in a place like that, gave me the chills. Did not have the chance subscribe back then, but I did now. Best wishes from Germany.

Brennen, I believe you. The fear in your eyes while in the tent that night is palpable. Nothing to be ashamed of, its just "fight or flight" mode. Hey, man. You do awesome work. I've known of you since ADR, and you're really maturing as a artist/videographer, vlogger, or whatever you want to call it. You are putting out excellent stuff. Be careful out there, and keep being yourself. You're a class act. Take care. 🙂

Here's some ideas for future episodes, that incorporates some KZfaq trends to mix into your stuff: -In future episodes of Alone, every time you hear a noise you have to eat a ghost pepper before you go investigate the sound. If you fail to do so, you have to call the cops on yourself for trespassing and try to hide from the police. -Episodes of a new competition show where you and your friends who explore old houses have to make a meal out of the food you find in the kitchen, and the loser is the next one who has to do an Alone episode.

I love a good thrill and some adventure but still dont think i would have handled this as well as you did. You kept yourself rash enough even as scared as you were, and made the quick and much needed calls. I admire your work and look forward to every ep! Cheers Brennen x

This takes balls dude.. for the past few years I’ve considered this channel one of the “hidden gems” on KZfaq… yours is one of those channels negatively effected by the algorithm, because you don’t upload every week, or multiple times per week….. and the algorithm is programmed to suggest channels who upload more frequently,,, even if it’s frequent shit… It’s too bad you aren’t able to do more of these “Alone” videos. Keep it up 🤙

Canadian wildlife is on another level! In all of my wilderness campouts in Colorado the only animal to give me trouble so far was a squirrel. It never occurred to me that beaver or coyotes could be dangerous to humans. Never keep food in your tent, and don't store it near food or in your kitchen where it can.

Seen a lot of urban exploring videos but this one surely is one of the most memorable ones, can"t believe its been 3 years already! That prison is such an exposed, bare and desolate place with no real place to hide because of the lack of doors and windows. The night falling in an nighttime explore further amplifies that and brings the viewer to the point that asking "hello?"" to reassure yourselves and getting a howl back just unlocks pure primal fear. Thank you for still making episodes 2-5, I would"ve quit right there and then!

Loved this one, probably my favorite right next to the “Frozen Asylum” one haha. I adore this stuff watching it, but even more so doing it. Abandoned places some of them have a feel to them, it’s like another world and why I love urbex and camping in such places alone or with another usually alone. I’m getting old physically, at 44 I’ve done a lot to my body but I want to do this more but for now I’ll watch you…you capture the essence.

This is a great narration! Found you via ADR but I do have to say your "Alone" series is excellent! Plus it must take nerves of steel to "turn off your brain" (at least shutting it down to "ok what is my immediate danger? Let's deal with that and general survival and forget of all of the other possible scenarios that would just let one to a state of constant freaked out/paralyzed").

In an abandoned prison in the middle of nowhere. Coyotes around trying to eat you. And maybe eldritch abominations stalking the woods that's pushing out the coyotes from where they used to hunt. Could've been a found footage-ish horror flick or something.

My property is fairly remote, adjacent to state preservation territory, and I deal with coyotes and other wildlife quite a lot. When I first moved in, I would hear dozens of them howling at night during the winters. This year I started feeding them and the raccoons/ringtails, and although they've still been extremely timid, they visit my property every night. I enjoy and respect any wild animals, but if the coyotes started acting aggressive, I don't think I'd continue. Any wild animal with a scarce food supply will be intrusive/aggressive, though. Can't imagine being alone that far out without any means of protection.
