Poppet I am 54 so I have been there and got out the other side, you are so beautiful and you have a fabulous figure, you are also bright funny and talented, I wish I had appreciated myself- appearance and personality when I was young, I spent my whole time wishing I looked different, only to look back and realise I was actually gorgeous, I had kids and realised my pre birth body was perfect and now in my 50’s the wrinkles and weight gain make me realise that I was pretty good then! Don’t be like me! I have wasted so much time worrying rather than living in the moment and appreciating what I had, live your life and enjoy it you will be gorgeous at every age xx Ps i subscribe because I love your fashion and style- you look great in everything and I stayed for how funny and insightful you are xx

I 10000% agree. I just want to reach through the screen and hug these beautiful young YT'ers who are suffering from self-confidence issues about their looks (and some getting surgery and fillers in their 20's!) to REALLY APPRECIATE how they look. I'm 52 and although aging is beautiful is REALLY hard sometimes to see how you've changed. I'm sure there is probably someone who is 80 who is thinking I should love where I'm at. lol! I just think it's way harder with younger women these days because of social media. The platforms are a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Yesterday I told my peers about my tendencies to compare myself to other students and their looks and their creativity in school, I was told "sounds like a personal problem" and I really did feel that maybe something was wrong with me. But hearing you talk about beauty standards and having never ending insecurities from social pressure it makes me feel so normal and comforted. You’re my absolute favorite youtuber, something about your videos, the way they are shot, the voiceovers, the editing, the topics, the way you‘re story telling, is so comforting, real and just so so good, high quality and full of inspiration and value❤ Totally relate on the confidence part on appearance, feel the same lately even though I thought I was fine with how I looked. I embrace my personality a lot and accept myself but then the insecurities started to creep in again about how I look. Hey there, Good Morning! Biggest congrats to you on another successful school year. Wow, I feel as if I was living through all of it right along with you, lol. But please don't feel unsure or insecure about how you look, because (to me) you are very beautiful. I believe it was Shakespeare who once said that 'beauty is but a shining gloss that can suddenly fade away.' A classy kind of way of saying, that we shouldn't allow ourselves to become too obsessed with beauty. Sure, it's only human to want to look different at times, but honestly, I believe your face is already quite divine as-is. As for your summer travel plans, just continue to be careful - no matter where you decide to go. If possible, try visiting Vegas for a few days? I was there a few months ago on business, and the food was always amazing. You'll find all of the greatest chefs there as well. If you enjoy Caesar salad, a place called The Golden Steer makes the very best. Awesome service, and they'll prepare everything fresh right at your table. Speaking of food, I had to laugh at your attempt to make eggs - only because you 'always' seem to make the most perfect eggs, lol. But very nice intro and outro. Debussy is an excellent choice to help punctuate completing another long academic year (applause). As always, thanks much for sharing. You're truly a special person😎

We do Gordon Ramsay scrambled eggs at home but I also want to learn to do the Asian style of scrambled eggs where you stir it with chopsticks and it becomes a runny tower. Re your body issues the rest of us won’t feel the same way but that doesn’t mean it’s trivial. I see a psychologist for stuff and it’s really great. I guess it’s crazy expensive there, but I wish you could have that too. Hang in there and keep up the good work 🌈

the male gaze or society's gaze comes from the outside. our own gaze, of course, comes from the inside. imho, strengthening the connection between our own gaze and ourselves is way more effective at being attractive than strengthening the connection between ourselves and society's gaze. bc pursuing society's gaze will weaken our relationship with our own, while pursuing our own gaze strengthens our relationship with society's, all while realizing it's all irrelevant anyways
