I can definitely relate to your cycle of feeling really motivated and working really hard then just burning out then beating yourself for it. It sucks a lot and I still don’t really know how to get out of it. But seeing you fill your days with all these other fun and liberating activities has encouraged and inspired me to do the same! ❤❤❤

It blows my mind that young women in their early 20s have any difficulty with loneliness. She said 3 guys approached her so that’s a good sign. I’ve taken my bike down to parks in the city and made some approaches but it’s a long ride and I’m getting too old for this. I have had more luck, dates, and a girlfriend upstate. You make eye contact and smile and it makes it more likely for guys to make their approach. Good luck

I always try to remember…that anytime i look back to middle school, high school, some college 😅, or any other times of life…I realize now that I was fine the whole time and just didn’t know it. So then I can assume that im fine now 😊❤ its just hard to be objective when ur so close to the picture. Just turned 40 by the way with the family and all. Ur thoughts resonate through time and thats very comforting

I loved your transparency! I just moved to New York and you explained a feeling that is rarely if ever discussed in NY videos. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one💌

Lindsiann: I NEVER comment on any KZfaq video. And I’m only just going to be a freshman in college so really you can leave this advice behind if you want. But I have struggled with this feeling in regards to my dream career as an author, with my future job tied so closely to the quality of what I can produce and the motivation I have to produce it. And this may not appeal at all to you, certainly you don’t need the extra money most likely, but maybe it would be interesting to seek out a really interesting (very part time) job in NYC for the summer. A barista at a cool coffee shop, or a book shelver at a book store, or a job where you work outside; who knows, you could do anything. Maybe it would bring some structure into your life in a way that’s different than academic structure. And there is something satisfying about completing shifts and tasks when most of your work is creative. It might also help you to feel more grounded because you’re doing something that you don’t have to pressure yourself to film, and you don’t have to carry on with for the rest of your life. You’d just get a little job experience and maybe feel a little more fulfilled while you’re in this rut? :) who knows?? Take it or leave it, just wanted to put it out there :)

something i was thinking as well. if she needs structure to maybe feel a little less blank, then a part-time job would be super cool to have. as you said, she'll have job experience and also have fun. it's a cute little idea

Hey there, Good Morning. I love the Marvin the Martian tee. Def one of my favs, lol. Anyway, i'm always happy to see you posting. With that, please don't worry about not having any quantifiable structure at the moment - because you've totally earned the right to enjoy the summer - completely free of any academic schedules, material studies, tedious exams, etc. Likewise, the profound perspectives you shared, regarding how your life has no real separation from your social media persona, is rather interesting. In fact, this is perhaps why you're experiencing some measures of uncertainty and burnout. However, if you truly need a bit of structure - to help you develop or reestablish balance back into your life, try applying for a summer internship - right there in NYC. Career goals aside, It could just be a fun way to 'just see' how it all goes. In fact, I believe Balenciaga has a summer internship available - something surrounding E-commerce, combined with a host of routine accounting and inventory acquisition activities. I think it could fit in very well with your keen familiarity with both fashion and economics. Anyway, I enjoyed the music. I thought it was very mod and catchy - allowing you to connect in a range of emotional ways - especially with the lyrics. As always, thanks much for sharing, and please remain safest. Really, I'm always here for you.😎

Ahhh... So brave at 20! When I was your age, I don't even know how to travel alone! I absolutely loved watching your vlog! Speaking of travel gear, have you heard about the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane? It's designed to combine functionality and style, making it a great companion for your upcoming journeys.

Something I found out recently is that motivation is unnecessary. You don't need motivation to do the things you have to do. The only thing you need to do is to set a program that works for you and once you follow it and get used to it it will become a part of your routine. Even though the feeling of burning out is normal and you may feel it even if you have a program you should not put press on yourself. Give yourself the rest you need without feeling bad about it Btw your new hair is giving 💋💋

Maybe joining a community outside of video creation would give you the structure and separation you need? Joining a sport in the city is a great way to do this or taking a class outside of school (maybe at the art students league?)

The comfort in that economic state support in Europe does not exist in America. Especially the wild capitalism in NYC, the Americans thinking of everything in terms of money, very tight long working order, which is not even given lunch time. Most Americans don't know about the world, some don't have passports, they don't travel the world. There are those who do not even use their annual leave for a maximum of 20 days, earning fast money and working long hours and finishing that money in 2 hours at the rooftop in NYC. What do you think about the differences between europe and america, especially about the pressure to make money in the economy? And does it bother you that he doesn't have a friendly relationship with NYC people?

i think there are a lot of people who don’t work in social media necessarily that feel the same way as you about feeling like you’re living life to be filmed and not just lived on it’s own. you are so brave for that kind of honesty, as there are a lot of people who would never be that real with themselves! our generation has had modern social media (ie. instagram, snapchat, pinterest, youtube, tik tok) for a large portion of our lives. in this way, it is very difficult to separate that desire to live with this desire to show everyone what we are doing constantly. i think social media reinforces a concept that has probably existed even in the prehistoric digital phase where we are performing for an imaginary audience. we want this audience to perceive our lives in a certain way: we have everything together, all of our clothes are aesthetic, we have healthy habits and a social life, etc. this image we put out is so different than our lived experiences to the point that i think we feel burnt out and depressed. no one’s life is the way it appears, everyone is putting on a show. you are not the only one going through this🤍

1:26 Please take my input with a grain of salt because I’ve never even come to understand how to vlog regularly. But. What if your self-made schedule was one week on, one week off? Then when you’re working, you can be thinking of what you want to do during your week off. And then you won’t feel guilty because you already planned on being off, so there’s no pressure to be productive. 🫶🏼
