I've been wearing my afro out daily in public for a month now after 5yrs of being natural. I always claimed it was just protective styling but I really just didn't want to be a spectacle in my everyday life so I hid my hair away. Having a Pinterest board with ONLY 4c hair inspos and smaller channels like yours really helped normalise it in my head before I took the plunge and now I've never felt more comfortable and content with my appearance everyday 🤗 ❤.

Me too, I've been wearing my wash and go, got lot of questions at work, at some point I will come in with my fro, more questions am sure but I think am easing them into the change. Well done, we have to keep showing up as ourselves and until it becomes normal and questions stop.

I have to give you credit for putting me on to the kazmaleje brush, the elasticity treatment, whether it’s ouidad or olaplex and of course my wash and go combos. You have definitely shared quite a few gems over the years and I look forward to learning more from you. Thank you for always providing well researched and practical advice to your audience!

Selfishly, I'm just so thankful to finally see someone with *what appears to be* the exact same hair texture, density, and strands as my own. Really appreciate you and your content!

Afro season is back! Yay! I've been loosing a lot of hair recently and I think my detangling brush might be one of the reasons. One thing which has help counter balance the disaster is the Olaplex bond oil. Its light, absorbs easily, deals with the crunch and helps my ends. I agree with the benefits of a hooded dryer in particular given my hair weakened state when hair drying for hours is not a good idea. My issue though is how to dry the bottom of my long-ish hair without frizz. Lastly you're right about moisturising shampoos, although they are not equal so finding the right one is key.

Great knowledge as always! I’ve used all of these techniques - literally ALL of them - from watching your videos (new and archived) since I started transitioning March 2020 and big chopped May 2021! You’ve been consistent and thorough and honest, and I appreciate that! Adwoa Beauty has a new, silicone free hair serum. I’m interested to know your thoughts on it! Edited to say I just watched your “Fall” video where you said soon you’ll do a review of the Adwoa Besuty Tansy line (that has the hair serum). Can’t wait! 🤗

These tips are great. I really agree with the tip about moisturizing shampoos because I’ve been using a more stripping shampoo lately and it made the conditioning process a bit rough. I also tried the ginger rinse and found that my hair was soft but I didn’t know if it was counterproductive because it has oils in it.

Love the fro! I have yet to try any elasticity treatments, so that's next up for me. I'll have to try the one by Mo Knows Hair, because I love shampoo from that line. There are a few serums that I plan to try, including the Monoi one by Carol's Daughter. That Melanin oil looks so good too. TFS!

Triple cleans has made a difference in my hair (1. clarifying, 2. strenthening, 3. moisturizing cleansers). I have hi po hair & I love dc with heat (soft bonnet dryer) because it binds ingedients deep into my strands; moisture etc lasts longer over the week. I love serums, too. Can't wait to try my Adwoa blue tansy serum!

@@Star-dj1kw also the reason why I love the 8.5 oz is it more than the 3.3 oz. Two 3.3 oz which 6.6oz will cost the same as the 8.5oz. You get an extra 1.9oz for the same price as paying for two 3.3oz. I had purchased 3 of the 8.5oz as the website mentioned limited. Nordstrom use to carry the 8.5oz and I haven't seen it again on Nordstrom website.

Mine dropped and two of the teeth on the side broke off too within a month of me buying it. Luckily, where the teeth broke off, I’m able to grip the brush right there and so far it has not fallen out of my hands…it’s been a few months now. Yes, I agree a tweak in the design is needed otherwise it’s a great brush

The first time using that brush I was shocked at how slippery it is. I went to Walmart the next day and purchased the tape used by tennis players to give their rackets more grip. I wrapped that around the handle and haven’t dropped it since.

If you are not doing it, try detangling in the shower with your conditioner or deep conditioner and add water during the process. Since I have been using this process, prepoos are not necessary and detangling is a breeze.
