Alpha-6 Hardware Kit Finally Here! + Update 1.6!

Season's basically started!!
Here it is! Update 1.6!
Lots of changes in the 1.6 update. Mostly over fitments and general improvements. Most notably, the front shocks mount geometry is improved, and some changes in the skid section. I don't have time to list everything, but the list is long!
Screw kit is also a big new thing too! As well as a sweet custom made billet 7075 Aerospace grade Axle!! So you have the benefit of saving weight while having the increase hardness and durability of this alloy over the cheap stuff! I STRONGLY advise that you install 3 screws in it though.

@@ToastyProductions. not quite, looking at options for belt drive setup on the doo tho. Not sure what to do with the doos tbh. They are hard to find now, a lot more than the polaris it seems

Awesome builds! Your engineering skills are top notch. I have an idea which would probably be quite a challenge but it would be so cool... SkyRC makes a radio control dirt bike - the Super Rider/SR5 (as does AR Racing and AR Racing was probably the first, see reply below) that has a gyro inside the rear wheel to keep it stable and upgright, and appears to work extremely well... I would absolutely love to see a Timbersled type conversion kit for that dirt bike that somehow manages to keep the rear wheel with its gyro as part of the assembly. With the snowmobiles I prefer a rider but I can totally see why you usually don't use one, performance over aesthetics, keep the CG low, etc. but if there was a similar gyro system for the snowmobiles to help keep them stable, that would be the ultimate R/C sled.

I discovered AR Racing (Italian based company it looks like) makes a dirt bike with the rear wheel gyro and from what I can tell they were likely the first all the way back in 2006 or 2007. My guess is the patent, if there was one, ran out and SkyRC jumped on it making a competing unit. I haven't been able to find a North American distributor for the AR Racing dirt/motocross bike. I just wanted to add that since AR Racing should probably get the credit.

I found that rc helistef here on YT actually did the Timbersled type track about 6 months ago. No ski on the front in his video but it did have the track on the back. Seems to work really well. Now I'm just trying to convince him to put up a video with a rider and a ski on the front!

Since I already have a few alphas up and running are there any parts specifically I should change out for the 1.6? I really like those axles very nice machine work as always top notch!

The front shock mount comes to mind. The rest does not require reprinting honestly if you have already printed the sled

Minimum 200x200, but ideal would be 210x250 or bigger. I'd recommend the prusa mk3s for a good experience. Good product, service, community and software
