I fostered a kitten that did that to my dog. The dog has never shown any signs of aggression and was just sniffing the kitten (funny enough the people who took care of her while I was away called her Coco). Coco smacked him on the nose and hissed at him.

We had a kitten like Coco, very sweet, she came up to all the household animals with her little nose in their face to say hi and our “alpha” cat swatted her. Well, she was very smart and it didn’t take long, maybe a year later after much meanness from our “alpha” she air attacked him from atop the coffee table and it freaked out our “alpha” so bad he would run from her on sight. She never forgot his meanness and would frequently sneak attack him, and only him. 😂

Female cats are mean. Only our male cats ever seem to be friendly. Edit: Huh, popular subject. Clarify: All of our male cats were wild cats raised on the streets, most of our females were house pets. Every cat we get fixed because we don't really agree with strictly indoor cats. We don't declaw them BECAUSE they are outdoor cats. The males generally like to play, cuddle, and don't whine for food. The females either ALWAYS want to play, or never want to play, none of them want to be touched or they claw you, and when they don't get what they want, they claw you. The males are somewhat lazier, but less moody in my experience, they don't really care. Some days the females want to sit on your lap, other days you walk by them and they claw you. There just seems to be this stark contrast between the two groups. I don't know if being street cats affects anything, but our oldest male is incredibly intelligent. He can turn knobs and open doors, he will get embarrassed when you laugh at him, and his years of hunting make him very agile and accurate for a one eyed cat. I can't say the same for the other males, but they are a lot nicer to be around than the females. There will be exceptions, always, but even my friend who can't afford to fix all of their cats agrees the males on average are nicer to have around and to play with.

Cris Bowman I guess this is true for most cases. I have 3 female cats, 2 are horrible, the one is the softest little bean you’ll ever meet. Shame all cats aren’t friendly :( I have a love hate relationship with them, they’re so clean and cute but so mean sometimes, they do what they want when they want. But they’re so fluffy

Cris Bowman Had a huge bengal cat that was an ass hole. Didn’t get along with a single cat. He was a dude. Had 1 girl cat that was kind of unfriendly. Statistically I think that’s true though.

Cris Bowman I’ve known female cats who are very protective of new kittens and very friendly. definitely not all female cats. they are usually a reflection of their environment of personality
