Honest review 💯. It’s annoying when purchasing parts and you have to adjust a lot to get the install done. The price tag of these snorkels are ridiculous in my opinion for what they are. I just got one from eBay for my 2nd Gen off eBay it’s looks exactly like a dobinsons for under 300 CAD hopefully I’ll get that on this week . Keep up the content ✌️

Thanks for doing this. I was searching for footage of how everything is installed on the inside which you didn't show much of but now worries. I have a dual battery and want to know how it works out on the inside. BUT now that I know the fitment is bad and the install was not ideal I'll skip it and look at the uptop. Love some of the newer drone stuff you're doing. Epic.

I’m with. Not a fan of the carbon fiber. I wish they had just a matte black option. But it is the slimmest most streamlined snorkel so kinda stuck with it

Great review, I have a friend that pretty much had the same issues. I love the low profile look. To bad they are the only ones that have that look. Has Alpha contacted you at all? I agree, paying double should ensure every fitment is perfect.

It looks good once it’s on, but just really disappointed with the amount of adapting I had to do. The stock air box still isn’t mounted the correct way because of it

I wish this review went differently. For the price I would expect to not have the issues I had. It sucks that this is the only super low pro snorkel on the market

The carbon fiber look is a bit tacky, I agree. Maybe wrap it? Idk. It's disappointing to learn of the fitment issues, considering the high price. Thank you so much for your honest review.

I just finished an install of the long version of this snorkel. I agree the template is garbage. I also had to fiddle with the holes to get everything to line up. Fitment so so. Difficult to get the nuts installed behind the panel.

Yeah I really expected the fitment to be better. The tube between the snorkel and the airbox was trash too. It would be better if it was flexible.

I’m torn on the uptop one honestly. It looks pretty low pro, but it also looks like it should be on a transformer haha. Just a little much. But the idea behind the design in amazing

Great video man thanks for the heads up. Are you still rocking this snorkel? Have you noticed any differences in peppiness or mpg? I'm looking for some dust and water protection but I want to make sure I'm not choking the intake.

No I haven’t at all. I did switch to a K&n filter at the same time. Not sure if that helped but it doesn’t act like it’s fighting to breathe at all

Man this channel has come a long way. I might have gone the air raid snorkel. However 1000 bucks on my tacoma could go to other things.

How does it sound on the passenger side when you drive since the suction sound is gonna be right by the pillar.

I mean it’s not a complete loss. If you’re willing to put up with the things I pointed out and you know you’re gonna have to adjust a little it might be worth it. I just think for the price that should even be a consideration

Is it worth it? No it is definitely not. If you have money money and just want to flex, yes most definitely. I mean you can always carbon wrap your perfectly fine and pretty dope snorkel that is beyond half the price of this one….

The point though is the low profile of this one which no other snorkel on the market offers. I don’t like the big bulky tube ones

With some additional work yeah. I think alpha intended it to be but the fitment on mine was garbage
