1:18 In the film “The Woman King”, the melody to the final chant sounds very similar to the slow chant the some AKA sororities sing as they are entering into their initiation ceremony. Anyone else notice that?

I am swelling with pride every time I hear this song. It was written by Nancy Jo Pinkston at Ball State University during the 1965-66 school year. Nancy was a member of Kappa Tau Sigma , an AKA interest group , of which I was a member as well. BSU already had one Black sorority and it seemed that the administration thought that was enough (lol) The summer we graduated , 3 of us ( Carole Armstrong, Connie Jones and myself Susan Chavis were inducted into the Alpha Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha in Indianapolis, Indiana. The following year I appealed to National to help us navigate the bureaucracy and charter a chapter at BSU. Soror Ordie Roberts answered the call. The outcome : The notable Beta Phi Chapter 💖💚💖.

I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that their eyes become open to the idolatry and strong holds. That the denounce this and give their lives fully to the one and only GOD! I pray that the satanic rituals that they are unknowingly performing and vows they take or names they write down be uprooted right now in the mighty name of Jesus AMEN!!!! I pray that they find identity in Christ Jesus the son of God and the blood of Jesus release them in Jesus name Amen!!!!
