You of all people should understand, it's an insanely fast car...but it's the furthest thing possible from a driver's car...So as someone who like cars, and likes driving cars, it isn't that cool.

This vehicle is absolutely fucking amazing.. I haven't heard/seen a GTR that revs and sounds like this one. Maybe its just the quality / hardware that recorded it but its amazing! Sounds like its pushing 9k+ rpms and man does it get there fast. Brutal!

to the people who say this car has no soul, driven by computers, requires no driver skills... Do you realize how technologically advanced this car? a human brain cannot physically keep up with all the high speed minor adjustments it processes every second. Just like how a modern fighter jet cannot be piloted without all the support of its computers. While an old school WWII fighter plane relies solely on its pilot it cannot perform anywhere close to the computer driven jets we have today. The GTR is a modern day high tech fighter jet equivalent.

world traveler When the R35 first came out it was a good bargain at that time. It competed well against cars that were more expensive. such as the ZR1. Over the years the price has inflated a lot. Used to be the GT-R guys would say how its much cheaper and that extra money could be spent on mods that would put it ahead of the ZR1, etc. Look at what a new GT-R costs now though in comparison. Dare i even mention the price of the Nismo. Moreover, people are always comparing these 2 cars, so im interested to see what happens when someone puts it against the new Z06. As for these high end Alpha packages; they're are impressive in performance, but they come with a very stiff price tag! Don't get me wrong here. I'm not a GT-R hater, nor a vette fanboy, but it's not hard to notice that the bargain days are long gone for the GT-R.

I've never care for the sound of a GTR. Who know how much GTR is left in this beast, but it sounds sick ripping down the track! Did they drop the AWD system, or did they tweak it so they can just disconnect the front to warm up tires during staging?

AMS won't release specs on it, but the facts are, most of the parts on this car are pretty much R&D parts AMS tests out to hopefully make it to the showroom for customers.

Its because the car squats and puts all the weight in the back and you need more grip for the back tires the front tires make power just not as much as the back which is why they don't really need as much grip

Gtrs have advanced computers controlling the car, the one for the tranny didn't get enough electrical power so it didnt shift is my guess.

sid johnson Sorry for late reply. You're totally wrong. It use the stock Launch control unit, chassis, frame, engine block, ET-S all wheel drive, VD-C stability control, transmission, gearing. What not stock is engine part like piston, driveshaf, spark plugs, spark plugs battery, injector (1400cc) AFR fuel control, inlet exhaust mainfold, pipe, valve, tyres, brakes, aero, suspension, damper and maybe some sport seats.

Rear wheels drive cars on drag slicks with live rear axles run allot better than awd from a dig, not saying that discredits the Mustang, because it's fairly impressive. But the two cars are in different classes, if you put this engine into that Mustang, you'd be seeing very low 7's - very high 6's I'm thinking.

Few years ago, the only car that can dip into the 7s are those with 11 inches+ tires and tiny bicycle wheels @ front, seriously stretched disfigured body, long-ass wheel base with almost ZERO ability to turn any corner, the cockpit is as good as a smoke room, with a 500ci-something V8 + 14/71 blower, a 2-3 thousand something horsepower.....basically sacrifices everything else to go fast in a straight line, JUST TO MAKE A STATEMENT. It takes so much time, effort and money to tune and build, and prepare every single race, and can't even run for long, yet so many thing can go wrong. Now, look at this machine, the newest and most refined technology, that can do the same thing, better, with much less effort. And it still looks like a street-able car, still got all the basics, and sure as hell can out handle many sport cars on the street. Doesn't it BAFFLE the rigorously built dragster of old? Doesn't matter what you are a fan of, AWD is always more advantageous than RWD, straight line wise, because you can have double the amount of grip, thus doesn't matter what power config you run, there are more than a dozen of ways to kill a cat these days, you can always get there. RWD is good for turning corners and drifting, that is when set up correctly, can be advantageous against AWD and FWD. So when you line up to a guy with AWD, your chance of winning just got reduced by half given that you both have the same power, so don't be MAD or feel bad, RWD just isn't up to AWD. It makes you stop and think, well, DRAG RACING is really and truly pointless.

I can tell you this build probably has 100 grand in it... that alone makes your emotional comment void. You can make anything fast, as far for the track? You build the suspension for the purpose of the vehicle. You can build a Chevelle to drive circles around this thing in a track.
