I just received this bag yesterday in MultiCam Black! Such a killer bag! The front pocket doesn't have a lot of capacity given how many inside pockets there are but when it's used just as an admin area, it's perfect.

The Pack def looks good. In the black Multicam it looks amazing tho, but the weight gets bumped up. Would like to see your top 5 or 10 backpacks. Mate - the HT pilgrim in coyote looks top banana. This is the vid we all wanna see! Don’t make us wait another week! A cheeky bank holiday bonus video…? Have a good week pal. 👍

Another very interesting backpack ! Thx :) I prefer the general look of my Maxpedition Entity 23 but I think I would prefer the functionalities of these Alpha One Niner ! It seems that there are no retailers in Europe (nothing in Amazon either) , no way for me :)

For me the gold standard of EDC packs has always been the 5.11 Rush 24. This looks like it's even more fully featured. Very interesting! This could well be my next pack. Thanks for posting a very thorough review! Also, nice Helikon smock, I absolutely love mine. How are you getting on with it?

Hey Cen. The Rush 24 is an incredible pack for sure. I had a bit of a binge watch on how people have been modding theirs. The Pilgrim arrived that morning so I thought I'd throw it on and start testing. It's warmer than I expected, however the ventilation zips work really well

@@MoorlanderEDC Sounds good. I like the thought that's gone in to the design of the Pilgrim such as the anti-insect nets on the pit zips. Great smock for pretty much anything outdoors.

Haha, I have one too! Not sure on if it has DWR, but I gave it a few washes in Nikwax Cottonproof and it's great now in light and even medium ish rain. Love mine. 👍

Stay focused on the bag!!... 😉 That's the Helikon Tex Pilgrim Anorak. It arrived that morning so I threw it on to test straight away. It's warmer than I expected however the ventilation zippers all around it are awesome

Hi mate, as always I've enjoyed your review thoroughly! Evade 1.5 is my first bag on the wishlist! However it is outsold and not available anywhere! Is the able carry max going to be the next best thing? As Willy as it may sound, I want a bag with the Velcro patch in front like the evade 1.5!

I think if you're top bag is the Evade then you're second option might be off target. Would I be right in assuming you prefer a hearty outdoors rugged bag like the Evade? The Max is an amazing bag however it has more commuter / middle management vibes 😆 Definitely doesn't have room for a cheeky morale patch. Lemme have a look around to find some alternatives. I'll see if I can get them in the Evade or less price range

With a cheeky moral patch! Evergoods CTB26 would have been the one bit unfortunately the harness system didn't work for me! And the AC Max seems good but again with no Velcro...life should not be this difficult!

I almost bought this pack, but I really want the 2.0 version which is 30L as apposed to 25L on the 1.5. I emailed them and they do plan on re-releasing the 2.0 later in the year, so here's hoping. I agree that all rugged style daypacks should have bottom lashpoints. It's such a simple thing to do but increases the versatility of bag ten fold. (Looking at you osprey)

Hey Danny. I received that jacket minutes before leaving the house so thought I'd throw it on :D It's the Pilgrim jacket/Anorak from Helikon Tex. From the time I've spent with it, it's an awesome jacket... Content will be out shortly. Thanks for watching buddy

Hi FLP, you should consider buying from the US. Now that we're out of the EU we're about to spend £135 without any import tax. Although postage would be more you can still save money. I regularly buy US and still save with the postage. I made a piece of content a while back on getting cheaper items from Amazon if it helps. Google the £135 import free thing too 🤘

Do you know how the capacity compares to the 5.11 Rush 24?

Hi Stuart, yes buddy, the Rush 24 is a 37ltr pack. Pretty big for EDC however still manageable. Whereas the Rush 12 is 24ltr pack which hits that EDC sweet spot. All the best fella
