Zombie's jokes were peak this episode Star Allies had fun multiplayer but largely sacrificed the singleplayer experience for that, though the bundles of free updates definitely brought Star Allies up to par some more, even if it is still largely a game that is very dependant on knowledge of the series for enjoyment by that standard (since most of the DLC was cool playable characters from previous games that made me really hope for a proper Kirby Platform Fighter. We uh, got a Kirby TradFighter with Platforms in it and meh controls, and it has like, 4 non-Kirby characters total...) dotColin more like dotCallin' (/posi) Zombie is so skilled

BTW, GBA Link Cable emulation has been around for many years. GameCube to GBA Link Cable can also be emulated by using both Dolphin and mGBA for games like Zelda Four Swords Adventures and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

Oh I remember this game. IT was the only kirby game I couldn't 100% at the time it was out. It was still a lot of fun playing it and learning how the mapping worked.

Of Course Colin Who's Never Played a Kirby Game would say Star Allies was bad. Star Allies was A Celebration of Kirby's Past to prepare for the future and move to the next phase of the franchise, (AKA Forgotten Land, Return To Dreamland Deluxe, etc.) Not only reuniting us with Old Friends and Foes alike as Playable characters, And the heavy lore implications that came with Void and Galacta Knight, Star Allies was a Love Letter to the Series as a whole, so of course someone who knows nothing about it wouldn't get it's genius, so for that reason alone, i'll let it slide. but next time, buddy boy, do better.

I'll concede that the base game is kinda baby easy but the extra content beyond it is really nice

@@scrunkore that's every "modern" kirby game in that era, though; simple main story, challenging extra modes. Star Allies could be a bit easier than others because you could have friends with you, but that's the thing; it's optional. Sure there are moments and puzzles that require you to have a friend or three, so if youre playing alone the game will hand you extra partners just to be able to finish that puzzle, but after it's done- you can just "POOF" get rid of them. If you don't want Little NPCs running around doing all your dirty work, you don't have to keep them around. not liking the game for having an option to make it easier that you can choose not to use- You control the buttons you press. My only complaint about Star Allies was that the main story seemed a bit short, but i never turned down the opportunity to recruit one of my favorite characters from Kirby's past to my team, and sure having them on your team made the game easier because they're so OP, but that's the point; they're optional, And most of the Dream Friends are bosses from previous games, so they should be strong.

You could play Paper Mario Randomizer on the Blitz setting. They made some cutscenes skippable, among other qol changes. You could also alter the settings for any difficulty tweaking or setting what your objective to win is. Could probably find a way to make it fit within an hour. Like needing to find a percentage of power stars scattered through the item pool. Big race potential for future non-gold yt vids.

From my understanding, the Switch emulates 4 GBAs at the same time on each Switch, and each person is assigned a "Main" GBA instance. The other 3 sync up over the internet with each user's "main" GBA instance. I'm quite impressed with the solution! For once Nintendo Online is kind of impressive.

FYI - You can emulate it by creating a new instance of the GBA emulator. The only limit is it is all on the same system. MGBA Emulator just has a button that opens a open Multiplayer option. (Four Swords option?)
