Luigi seems like he always has a star because the AI in this game doesn't use item boxes. They always have specific items they can use whenever they feel like. Mario and Luigi both have infinite stars.

So all the characters have special abilities ONLY WHEN THE COMPUTER CONTROLS THEM. This includes Bowser spamming fireballs, and Luigi getting free stars

I really hope that eventually, Super Alpharad Kart and Jo Kart 64 try out PS2 classics such as Magic Pengel and Graffiti Kingdom. Literally nobody seems to know about those games existences, which is a shame considering they're a fucking rabbit hole of traits that you'd think would make it more well known. (Such as Studio Ghibli's involvement in Magic Pengel, ZUN working on Graffiti Kingdom's music, or hell even the fact Charles Martinet voices one of the villains in the story!) Not to mention its unique gameplay of being able to actually physically draw the monsters you play the game as, or use in battle (depending on the game), and its """"top notch"""" voice acting.

I think it'd pretty wholesome if YIIK: A Postmodern RPG had a kart game. also, play the game

A mini tip that I picked up when I used to play this; if you're about to bump into something, hop just as you do. While you'll be pushed back, you'll actually not lose your speed! This is more helpful if you bump into a corner as it allows you to try and swerve away from the obstacle, but it's most useful on the Vanilla Lakes since the ice blocks you hit disappear. Time your hop right, and you can drive through the blocks almost unimpeded!

You should play Sonic Robo Blast 2. Sonic fangame from 1998 that's built on top of Doom. It plays like a classic Sonic game in 3D, and it's probably the best 3D Sonic game. It's actually insane how polished it is.
