This is an official Babymetal remix. This was not done by a fan or something. This remix version was performed as the first song of the show. The regular version that you reacted to previously was performed later in the concert when the Kami band came on stage.

Yeah this was official. This is the bookend of the crucifixion, where Su comes out as a Idol. Kei Kobayashi said he saw Su perform and thought she had a voice and stage presence that was limited by pop. So he dreamed up Babymetal as a group where she would have no limits. And they are a creative bunch, doing crazy stuff sometimes. The choreographer, Mikiko, who worked with all of them since they were in 5th grade, said Yui had many ways to express her self in dance, Moa was the quintessential Idol, always presenting herself in the most favorable way. But Su, she is just crazy. And her craziness rubbed off on the other two.

This was the first song (and version of this song) I've ever heard from BABYMETAL. And it intrigued the crap out of me! The next one was the official MV of "Megitsune" and then I clicked on the Sonisphere video of "Ijime, Dame, Zettai"... They have my heart, my soul, my everything ever since! The following weeks I binge-watched absolutely every snippet I could find on the net to learn more about these girls! And there's a massive amount of video material especially from the early days... The remix was done by DJ Tekina (IIRC). He also did a remix of "Megitsune".

Ya, as others have said, this is not a fan remix. What you are hearing is what they actually performed at the concert. This was actually the first song of the concert. The non-remix version of Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! was the 12th song of their set list that night

It's a special version for that concert which was after Su-metal's birthday, and this concert celebrates her 16th birthday. It's not a "remix" in the sense that someone edited the song and video into a dubstep/dance version...this is THE actual live performance and this is an official Babymetal song. You will notice the special club-like lighting effects shown on the statue behind them in this performance. I know, its very surprising!! And this is one of the rare occasions the whole song is prerecorded. Great reaction, as always! This was the start of the concert, if I am correct. There was a special long walk in to the song "Ave Maria" too. They later performed, the normal version of this song later in the show, but with their normal choreo routine.

It's actually the opening song of the Legend 1997 concert, so totally an official song. I think this was the first and only time Su performed a full playback song of Babymetal. She even sang over the playback track in their first performances with Sakura Gakuin in 2010/2011. It's common practice for Idols to perform with playback, because the choreography and dancing are the most important parts of a live show in their business. So it was her going into the show as an Idol and coming out of it after the Babymetal Death performance you've already seen. Without context this song would make no sense if you know other performances of BM, at least to me. Also the first and only song I fast forwarded after listening for a minute when watching a show of them for the first time.

I unabashedly love this song. Not my typical genre by any stretch, but I love how stinkin HYPED the crowd is. I love the context. And it just is good. A good way to get the party started. They do the proper version of the song later in the show there were a few different songs done for Su’s 16th including a version of Akatsuki with just a piano accompanying her and of course the Babymetal Death to close out the show. Some people don’t like this version but I bet the girls sure did lol

This is one of those most rare of occasions - a BABYMETAL song that is entirely playback. However, it fitted in with the theme of the Legend 1997 show which was marking the final stage of their transition from a sub-unit of an Idol group to independent metal band. This was the opening number (after a theatrical piece to 'Ave Maria') and it was about their roots as part of a Jpop Idol group performing to a backing track. Babybones were there not quite pretending to play the instruments (they were dancing as much as anything) and Su lip-synced the whole song (maybe she did a couple of screams live). As the show went on they continued with Babybones, but the singing was live in all the next songs and then for the last 5 songs of the show they finalised the transition to metal band when the Kami Band came on to support them ... and the finale 'BABYMETAL Death' - and you know what happened in that one. You are right - I hated this the first time I heard it, I couldn't believe what they had done to 'Headbanger' which is such a good song. Eventually it grew on me a bit so I could at least tolerate the remix (I always thought it was well done, I just never liked that sort of drum & bass or dance or whatever it is style of music) ... and then I came to understand the context and it made more sense. Next - whatever you like, it will be good or better at worst, you can't go wrong.

BABYMETAL is the band. Legend of 1997 is the concert. The song is 'Headbanger - Night of 15 Mix'. 15 and 20 are big birthdays in Japan. Instead of 16, 18 and 21 like we do. 15 and 20 make more sense. Japanese are very mathematical. I approve. I am nearly Japanese myself. I'm English and Native American. So i like the maths.

What Alan G says below, basically. Babymetal mash up genres like no-one else - and it always works. They have a song called OH MAJINAI with the lead singer of Sabaton as a guest on it and it's Pirate Metal, apparently, which I didn't even know was a thing. I loved my EDM through the 90's and noughties so this version of Headbanger (EDM, Techno, Jungle mash up that it is) is enough to keep me happy. It was really nice to hear how Babymetal are inspiring and motivating your work, btw. Though the side effect seems to be the loss of the power of speech. Ah, well, swings and roundabouts! 8:04 - I haven't stopped laughing yet!

I'm late!!! But, yay, more Babymetal! Gotta love stuff like this!! Personally, while I can enjoy EDM, its not my go to when I wanna hear music. Ya know, in general. But for Babymetal, it's super interesting to see them hit more in their idol side sometimes and do things like remixes and covers! So...not really a song I'd search for, but once its on...I'm not turning it!!! And yes!! This crowd! Always with Babymetal crowds (except the infamous Glastonbury...and even they were turned out by the end)!! Gotta love Babymetal! Ginna recommend Awadama Fever (grindy music and super cute vocals and choreo) and Night Night Burn (my fav from Galaxy). Also, gonna add...peolle have already let you know that this is an official remix! A good way you can tell these thjngs in the future...the regular version of this that you've already reacted to, just had the girls doing their usual choreo. For this one, the choreo is different (to match the mix) and also the Sister Bones are there. The Sister Bones are a crew of backup dancers that were the skeleton suits. They sometimes come out to support the girls on things like remixes and covers and ect. They are part of the group Eleven (something???) that belong to Mikiko (Babymetal's choreo maker). Hey Tyler, you saw the end of the concert 'BM Death' and real 'Headbanger' from this show. This was their first song of the night after a theatric opening to the classical piece 'Ave Marie'. "I am pretty sure even the handicap section is jumping up with them" 😂 I've never heard about/saw it, but they probably did too. If you want another EDM/Dubstep influenced Song --> 'Uki Uki Midnight' but go for a liveperformance for the Call&Responce with the crowd.

So at the end of the Legend 1997 show they had transformed from being a 'Jpop Idol Metal Band' into being a 'Live Performance Heavy Metal Band' *BABYMETAL*, and they were about to turn the Metal World upside down. You are wrong. This was live as the opening of Legend 1997 concert. And you reacted to the wrong version. You missed the opening 5 minutes of this song. I usually dont like this kind but i can deal with this one. And as you can see the Kami band is not in this one. They came in for the last 5 songs of this show.
