1973, the first FIA World Rally Championship was written out.
Alpine Renault dominated the `73 World Rally Championship with 8 victories.
40 years later, the former Alpine A110 1800 of J.P. Nicolas is back in the alps!

The Alpine A110 1800 Group 4 provided 185hp at the Montecarlo to complete its racing carreer at more 200hp for 685kg...

o mais interessante eh que os melhores carros , nao eram das grandes montadoras como Renault , FIAT ou Porsche e sim equipes "privadas" que utilizavam seus motores como a Alpine ( motor renault ) e Lancia ( Motor Ferrari)

IMHO you should redo this with the old 4x3 footage at the correct ratio instead of stretched. Neat video other than that.

There are very few A110's here in the USA; perhaps less then 10. The Mex DynalpinesDo not compare. Impossible to find a EuropeanA110 for less then $ 100 K.. Shipping one over and US Customs fees add to the High cost too.Porsches fo not compare . I know, I have both.

This video appears to be based on an Ayn Rand novel. The Industrial Revolution leads to the downfall of mankind. Meanwhile, this one white guy conquers the Alps in his million-dollar sports car, complete with film crew, while the 99% standby slobbering on themselves. Bravo.

Even in the 70th cars in Europe did not sound like that. This is the original ralley A110. Those street egal ralley cars had manual removable exhaust bypasses uand similar. I owned bikes and cars out of the 70th, cause it had been the first I could effort in the 80th. All over Europe, especially in France and Germany you had in the 70th already limits to noise emissions.
