they will absolutely update the X-H2s to have those features, I am sure of it. That was the first thing that popped in my mind actually, when I watched the 100II introduction haha! I'd love for them to even get even further, and give us false color and user luts - that would make the X-H2s really, REALLY great camera. The best thing about SSD recording would be redundant recording of ProRes (CFE + SSD).

Fujifilm anounced Reala Ace on the all cameras with x-processor 5, and x-h2s too. In this year we waiting for next x-summit, i hope on huge update for x-h2s with all professional video option too.

If the XH-2S hardware is capable of handling these new features, pretty sure Fuji will port them over to the XH-2S.

Really hope they don't leave the Fuji XT5 and XH2 (non s) series behind on the updates, since a lot of those would be extremely welcome to the XT5 Travel type users! Advanced stuff like Pixel mapping and anamorphic Desqueeze makes complete sense to not give to the XT ! But I really hope the more general improvements (Autofocus/ Subject Tracking, Flog Dynamic Range Priority, Manual focus assist will atleast be added. About that autofocus assist i just realised being able to press it isnt even a thing in Photo right now

I can see the xt5 and xh2 being left without some features but the xh2s is non negotiable in my eyes, although I do hope those features get trickled down to the other cameras because they aren’t exactly limiting factors to upgrade to any other camera

Fujifilm should implement subject/ object tracking in next firmware update. Can't understand why they haven't done this before. I'd love to see red frame when recording and false color.

I think we should at least get the subject tracking and the frame rec box minimum . It makes no sense why we don't have these things minimum. Also the XH2s is supposed to be the best as far as speed and capability. They claim the XH2s is the most capable video camera they have so I keep waiting for them to add more video features. I would love the rec to SSD option . This would be great for pro res .

Exactly! I mean they just released autofocus updates so I’m gonna guess that there’s gonna be another update next month or something but let’s see… if they don’t release it by the end of the year I think it’s not gonna be good news and pretty shady of them. But I have faith

I'd wait until there are some performance tests released before I get to upset over anything. The Fuji medium format cameras have traditionally suffered from really REALLY bad rolling shutter in video, and the autofocus has also been VERY slow and less than sticky, especially in video. It's still unclear if those issues have finally been addressed. Plus you can get nearly 4 XH2s cameras for one GFX 100s II, and that doesn't even get into the price of the GFX lenses which are way WAY more expensive than even the best FX lenses -- which are phenomenal lenses in their own right for a fraction of the cost. I'd love some of the other features like tap to focus and waveforms, etc, to trickle down and hopefully it does, but the GFX 100s II is just a whole other type of camera compared to the XH2s. I say that as someone that owns both the XH2s and XH2 and would really like to own a GFX 100s II one day. It sounds like an incredible camera. But the XH2s still punches way above its class and still outpaces a lot of the current cameras on the market even if it never got another update, which I doubt they're done with it. Fuji has a decent history of supporting their flagship models and the XH2s is a flagship model.

Well my hope is they pass on the video features, because to use it as bait to buy into the gfx system would be a really bad move imo

@@AlpsLifee I do too. It would certainly be a bummer if they didn’t. If they do I’d imagine it would be a bit after the GFX 100s II has gone through its launch cycle. Only time will tell. In the meantime, the XH2s is still a kick ass camera. And if they don’t update it, by the time that’s certain, there will be used GFX 100s II’s on the market to help curb that entry price ha.

@@TheJ_Gyeah let’s see the game plan, It’s good they are getting better but I wanna see the support, I love the Xh2s, shot quite a few shorts on it and my first feature film too this year! It packs a punch but lacks in video tools, just wish they made a cinema camera

I have seen a couple of reviews showing rolling shutter to be astonishingly well-controlled on the 100S II.

@@nnix Some more in depth reviews have be dropping and it shows most of the 4K options to be pretty decent at 15ms but every other resolution is pretty rough, topping even at 33ms. I know it’s a much bigger sensor, and I still think it’s a great camera, but 33ms is hard to invest into for a video camera - especially at $8000. So nothing I would consider astonishing yet. If they managed to keep the readout across all resolutions below 20ms or at the 15ms of 4K, that would be very impressive readouts for the sensor size and something that competes with other professional video camera options. Maybe if they release a 100IIs down the road they can achieve that. Until then I think there are better video options currently out right now. But it’s a huge step in the right direction for accessible medium format entering the video world.
