Totally different subject. What's the size of your rearview mirror flat or convex? Sound good by the way. Interesting you went from the quarter panel instead of the front repair mode. Much quicker less to remove looked faster.

I'm not sure what is the exact rear view mirror size. The mirror is flat with the garage door opener buttons on the bottom left, and it came with the car. Hello, did you install that Chrono Package on the dash yourself or was it already in when you purchased the car? I've been looking for one myself but cannot seem to find any.

I had terrible belt slippage on my car I bought with this pulley. It also had the alta tensioner..it only made 11lb of boost now its dropped to 5lb. So I need to adjust the tensioner or get a new belt

yes engine mounts are oil damped and do fail causing tell tale oil staining easy to replace and cheap too

I've seen other vids where the engine is lifted for easier access to the pulley. How difficult was it to do this job without lifting the motor?

Need to put aftermarket tensioner guide on. If belt breaks. Tensioner will hit crankshaft and screw everything up.

Sorry, I sold the tool a while back. You can rent it from Detroittuned, or buy one from a memeber on the Northamericanmotoring forums and sell it back for about the price that you paid.

From what I recall you do not have to take the tensioner off, but compress the spring to remove the belt. I followed this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdaBqKuWr7KqeJ8.html

I don't remember the exact psi change, but acceleration was noticeably quicker

It has been a few years since I did this, so I don't remember. If anything, I had to jack the engine up a few inches with a 2x4 under the oil pan, which isn't hard to do.

Not if your car has the stock emissions parts on, and passes the I/M test on a OBD2 reader.

Many people run the car without a map after doing this mod. I'm sure it'll perform better with a custom tune.

Did you have to left the motor in order to gain access to the pulley? If so, how difficult was this process?

From what I've heard not totally sure but if installed improperly it can do that. One mod I've been debating doing myself or taking to a dealership. the tolerance on the reinstall is fairly low from what I've read on the internet here's something that may help for you to check your installed pulley. Slide your new Pulley Hub all the way onto the supercharger shaft and place the pulley body on top of it. Push the two pieces of the pulley together until they are mated lightly. Bottom out your pulley body to the end of the shaft and then pull it back .020-.025 away from the end of the shaft. This important step insures that the body tightens on to the hub and not the other way around.

Is it me or does this look like a 2nd Gen. I have 1st Gen, no speedo above the column. I would love it if it came on the R53. Is this not a R53? Lil help here. Best car I have ever driven and bought so I am serious about info. I just want more power just like everyone else. ???

He has the optional gauge pack (oil pressure, temp, and one other) in the middle where the speedo usually is. If you got that pack, the speedo was moved next to the tach from factory :)

Neverless, still going to instill a better %pulley. I will probably install a better supercharger and intercooler while the hood is up. Ppl need their pizzas delivered faster. :) No job lets you drive a car for delivery and enjoy it at the same time. Hince, thus, reason I deliver pizza. Own your world, drive with passion, and perfect your craft. I don't make them, I can deliver them.

@@roymilla6636 I recall having to use that tool to loosen the tensioner to remove the pulley. Perhaps you can use a different tool to loosen it like a long metal rod, or wood

Looks like your right upper engine mount is leaking. You might want to check that out soon. Common problem on these cars.

Engine Mount??? Leaking????? Ummmm, ok so i am new to minis but modified and raced cars most of my adult life, but with respect since when does rubber leak? Honestly i mean no offence, i'm curious! and would love to know at what point of the video did you identify this leaking mount? IE: 1:16 I have a Mini, and the Upper Engine mount is pretty noticeable as its quite large! Please let us know :)

+Josh Brookes Well the 1st Gen MINIS' engine mounts are oil filled, the top Right to be specific @0:28 you can see what looks like black tar on the engine support bar. Typical MINI problem, same as coolant tank leaking, these are just 2 of the many many common leaks this car has. I've had one for a while now, an 06 R53 JCW. Ive rebuilt this thing twice, one for all leaks and gaskets and the other for oil starvation causing rod knock. So I know this car inside and out. I've done everything you can think of to this car. Any questions, ask away. Ive probably done it or am doing it.

@@brians9141 I know this is old, but given the problems you've had to fix, would you still recommend buying a 05-06 Mini Cooper S today? I couldn't afford them before, but they're cheaper now and I'm more knowledgeable about cars and have tools so I could work on it myself.
