My favorite Brutes vs my favorite Elites. Halo Reach really had the advantage here with the balancing of both sides weapons, health, and shields.

The Brutes from Halo 2 ironically were the strongest they ever were gameplay wise. The jank AI that made them randomly berserk fit their namesake and lore better than in 3 when they just took the place of the Elites, and berserking just made them one-shottable or one melee from death To this day it is still a crime that the Elite armor in Reach is not Mix and matchable, not to mention Elites are only allowed in Invasion or elite only game modes

Cool to see how the elite AI actually have some sort of tactics and use cover even though the brute armour is stronger but the elite out perform them. In lore though the elites triumph over brutes in everyway except “ brute strength”

Once the Elites started using the (nerfed) Concussion Rifle there was no way the Brutes could win that round. Also love the call back to the Devoted Sentries (the Zealot Squad that Noble 6 solo'd at the end of the Pillar of Autumn).

@@pratiksinha3781They would be if they had a better variety of weapons and different designs for the ranks they were the most fair on higher difficulties and felt the most like your equal in halo 1 unlike halo 2 and halo reach halo 2 they one shot you on even normal which makes no sense and in reach they can survive a plasma grenade stick and on higher difficulties they can kill you with there insanely quick melee without you even being able to react overall though otherwise reach elites unlike halo 1 feel less like your equal and more like your superior now halo 1 elites would be the best elites based on this but they only use the needler and plasma rifle and sometimes the sword with zealots this automatically gives the reach the win halo 2 elites didn’t have that much weapon variety and what makes it better is the fact reach elites have armor lock as an ability unlike halo 1 and 2 giving them an actual ability and different looking ranks as the halo 1 and 2 ranks are just colored differently but the halo reach elites actually look different on top of having different colors for the ranks with all of this considered without a doubt reach elites are the best elites in halo
