In the 1960s, after decades of economic downturn, the town of Leavenworth, Washington started to become a booming tourism center-due in part to its transformation into a Bavarian-themed wonderland. The Enzian Inn, one of the most famous spots in Leavenworth, has helped carry on the magic for more than thirty years with its Bavarian architecture, food, and most notably, alphorn performances from the hotel’s original owner, Bob Johnson.
