Leavenworth is a Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains, in central Washington State. Alpine-style buildings with restaurants serving German beer and food line Front Street. The Nutcracker Museum displays thousands of nutcrackers, some dating back centuries. The village is a gateway to nearby ski areas and wineries. During winter the village lit up to become a fairytale town.

This is what I’m talking about ,A LIVE Christmas Village’ for real!!!! I thought it was just only a Christmas village decorations inside the house special effects but since that car passed by then it is a real City of Christmas Village….The most beautiful city that I’ve ever seen!!!!

Truly beautiful and outstanding! I don't think I have ever seen a more beautifully decorated area. It was wonderful, with the quiet, only the sound of crunching snow and snow falling. Watching this I felt like I was almost there myself Many thanks for posting this beautiful video.

Wow, This place is amazing and The neighborhoods here are beautiful. Wow, It's snowing, The sky is dark, The darkness is so intense and There are beautiful trees. Yeah, Those trees are beautiful and You can see the christmas lights on those trees. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, Thank you very much for this video. 🙂👍👏👏👏🇺🇲

È bellissima questa visione ,mi riporta a Natale che purtroppo è passato da tre mesi ,con questo brutto mondo dove si parla di guerra ,con tanta gente cattiva che ci circonda ,beh queste immagini ci fanno da antibiotico per potere arrivare al Natale di dicembre peccato però che questa meraviglia non sia accompagnata dalle classiche musiche natalizie che fanno da distensivo grazie!

Beautiful. Christmas is my favorite and I spent 3 years in Germany so this is right down my alley. I bet the food matches the décor.

its absolutely stunning, and pictuesque. I wish i cud go.... My parter went here many years ago. It was lovely he said. But they were driving thru a blizzard too....this deep snow untouched hardly, lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏

Hi , was hwy 2 closed during the storm? Im planning to visit Leavenworth a week before christmas but im worried about snow storm.

I'm not too sure if it would close on severe storm. This was taken when the town had light snow.

Highway 2 doesn't close very often, and when it does, usually not for long (just to remove snow from the hills to prevent avalanches.). On rare occasions it can close for longer. So yes, it can happen, but it takes a major snowstorm or 2 to close it. And there are other routes like Snoqualmie Pass and Blewett. Always helps to check weather and pass conditions and to be prepared to be flexible.

I was planning on going there early morning when ppl are still sleeping so I can get a video and pics all to myself. Can I drive there and do that or will they still say something even if you're not parking for a long time? It says 3am to 7am so does that mean I can park there and do those before then?

The Main Street is blocked off, think you can try to park on hotel parking lot.

There is plenty of parking all around at no charge, if you're going early it shouldn't be an issue. Leavenworth has 3 live cams that you can view on their KZfaq channel Visit Leavenworth.

We have the cheapest electricity in the United States, due to hydroelectric power generated not too far from us. Places in the East Coast often have rates 5-6X higher than us. I very rarely go over $100 a month, and that includes heating a hot tub. Also, they now use LED lights, offering further savings.
