Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Truck Camper with Shadow Awning on Tacoma

A short walk around of my Alu Cab Canopy Camper on Tacoma TRD off-road double cab long bed with Shadow Awning. I know not the best video. Shot on my phone and I did not feel like editing anything. But hey just shows that you can set this thing up one-handed. I have not done any build-out on the inside of the canopy.

I prefer someone narrating, as long as they get to the point and don't ramble on about how they just dropped off their kids at a birthday party, so they're a little late starting the video, etc, etc.

Absolutely the best looking camper ute I've seen. I would personally have gone for an extra-cab with a tray to save on length, but I loved this.

Yeah that's a good point. I do sometimes travel with 3 people so a double cab is a plus. I don't really do anything where the extra 12 inches of wheelbase has been an issue. But yeah definitely if it was always just me and the wife i would of done an extra-cab

@@beer3029 no, but note, I have flipped the rack over requiring me to cut notches out of the mounting feet giving it extra space. Also Front Runner now has low profile mounting feet.

I have a 3rd gen acc cab 6ft bed and I plan on doing this with mine, it's perfect. I know it's pricey but some people pay a lot of money for bottle water too lol

exactly. I have had this a little under a year now and I can say it was worth every penny (for me). I have camped in this camper in 12 states now with unforgettable sights and experiences. Camping has a wide range of price tags depending on what you want to do. you can spend thousands and thousands on 4 season tents or you can sleep under a 20$ wall mart tarp. you can park in the woods in a 500k camper or sleep in the back of a rusty old truck. For me I have camped using numerous setups from out of my backpack, tents, hammocks, trucks with camper shells, old VW split windows, kayak, old Econoline and just on a sleeping pad next to the campfire. its whatever, do whatever makes you smile.

Ben Pitcher nahh wasn’t me. I was in Utah the other week but did not make it all the way out to California I’m on the central Gulf Coast. There are a handful of these setups in the US now.
