This is definitely the coolest, most badass shallow water boat I've ever seen! It's beautiful! And to top it off its a prop tunnel with good size pods. I love the build pictures also

It's been a year since I commented on here and I still enjoy watching this perfect build come to life. My welding skills have gotten much better and the only thing I need to build my own is space!! Thanks for the video

Beautiful design and execution. However, I am a traditionalist and would much prefer a fair sweeping gunnel cap than one with a hard angle.

Thanks man. I tell you what... There are a few things that I would change if I built another one... The rake on the bow, the float pod configuration... but over all its turned out to be a pretty cool set up. Honestly... I spent all my time doing the figuring on the hull and very little time with the decking etc. Things could definitely be tightened up and refined on the next one...

duval ferrera In most things, our second and third attempt always involves improvements and slight modifications that make a big difference. Please video the next one so we can enjoy your gifted fabrication skills and see your changes. And please make the sheer/gunnel cap a fair sweeping curve - it will add an air of professionalism to your work in my most humble opinion.

Yes.. The webbing devil took that build over for sure...Lol.. Its a battering ram but it drafts pretty shallow too. It runs pretty well in the chop too... which is a big surprise to me...

Hey. Its a pretty technical explanation. A lot of geometry. Its calculating arcs and tangents in relation to boat width and side height.

I had a basic layout for the hull and transom... Everything else was designed on the fly...

Was the bottom of the boat one sheet of aluminum?

Yes. The sides and the bottom are one piece...

The sides and bottom are made from one sheet of material. it was formed in a 40' press break. I turned the bow up with ratchet straps. The hull has a 7 degree dead rise.

Do you have plans and a material list? really like how your turned out been wanting to do the same kind of skiff contemplated buying a jon boat cutting it down the middle widening it making it a tunnel hull or cat.

Yeah scale model is a thought i had also i think im gunna give it a shot. Hope it turns out as nice. Did you use 14ga sheet or heavier?

I bought a 19'' x 24'' sketch pad... The paper is very thick ... good for bending and folding once you layout your lines... I used a 1:12 scale.I used every sheet... till I found what I wanted...
