Thanks for the memories. We lived in Bridgnorth while I was stationed at RAF Cosford and this brought so many memories flooding back. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you Anna, the mist looked wonderful in the valley as we walked down to the river. It was a cold start but soon warmed up as we got going. A little flooded in parts but a nice walk. Highly Station was like going back in time. Thank you for watching, All the best, Andy 👍🏻

Great video, thanks for sharing. Have crossed over the old colliery bridge from Alverley on many a misty morning back in the 1970s. We used to fish a couple of meadows downstream of the bridge. What a contrast to the drought in the summer of 1976 when at points you could wade across. All the best, Peter.

Thank you, Peter. I have been a couple of times we usually cross the bridge and turn right and walk to Hampton Loade, have a coffee at the station, and walk back. We have not done that, though, since the kids were little. It was nice to walk the other way and explore new territory. We were going to walk back on the opposite side but were told it was very boggy and the path we had used was much better so we came back the same way. I can only imagine seeing the Severn so low you could wade across. I will definitely walk more sections from time to time and try and join the videos up. Thank you for watching, All the best, Andy 👍🏻

When you cross the collier’s bridge and climb a short distance you come to the Severn Valley Railway. One day while fishing we heard constant noise coming from that direction. We were surprised to see a large lorry that served as a canteen for about 50 people making a film. Still have not managed to find what film it was ! All the best, Peter.

@petercutler7773 I'm learning from comments that quite a lot has been filmed along the Severn Valley Railway. I love to see something on TV or film that I recognise and can say "we've been there". If you find out, let us know. How long ago was this?

Looking in the Newspaper Archives there is a mention in 1972 of filming on the railway. The Great Western Society lent their tank engine for the filming of Young Winston, also BBC programme Horizon with the help of the SVR recreated some famous railway accidents.

@petercutler7773 So many things filmed along the railway. More recently, netflix Enola Holmes used Arley Station. The kids were watching it a while back, and I saw the station and thought that it looked like the Severn Valley,
