New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara returns to the Saints facility for Saints minicamp. In this video, James Skrmetta reacts to Alvin Kamara interview on where he has been this off season and his thoughts on the new Saints offense we will see in the 2024 NFL season. New Orleans Saints minicamp was the first time Alvin Kamara was on the field since last season ended. Even though he hasn't been in New Orleans, Alvin Kamara said he has seen the Saints new-look offense and has had communication with new offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak.

AK saying he hadn't been to minicamp the last 3 years didn't do him any favors.. He hasn't been good in 3 years. Hopefully this change allows him to display his talents.

What don’t you understand about Pete Carmichael being a horrible coach? It doesn’t matter how good of a player you are, if you aren’t being utilized correctly, you will struggle. Kamara went from running routes out of the back field and from the slot with Sean Payton to only catching passes off of check downs. And he would still turn those passes into first downs making multiple people miss.

@@MosheGoldbergTheKingwrong. He played in Sean Payton’s offense up until 2022 when Carmichael took over. Carmichael then took payton’s plays and just randomly called them with no rhyme or reason behind it. Coaching matters in the nfl, if you were Kamara and I was Carmichael and all I called was runs right up the middle and the only passes you caught were check downs, your stats would fall off too.

this offense really gon be fun to see, if the offense comes together instantly & the defense is great like normal I don’t see how the Saints can’t win 10+ games. it’s a big if but fasho not an impossible if, I think the ceiling is 11-12 games for me & the floor is 8 or 9

Glad you defended Alvin by humanizing him. He’s a different type. That’s no doubt but because he’s different, people are way to quick to judge, just because they don’t understand him. Alvin always comes across as very intellectual to me, he gives deep thinker vibes. But he also understands how important it is to be balanced mentally and in his personal life ( ironically one of his best physical attributes lol)the balance that is). A job is a job and man just want to be there with his family and live life. And when he works he’s ready to work. Punch in punch out. Look like man has his priorities straight to me. I always think of my coworker she has the same salary as me but makes 100k every year more than I do. But in exchange she literally works herself into the ground even to the point of needing a carpal tunnel surgery. And I on the other hand like to leave work right on time be home, sit and have dinner with my wife rather than alone. I wanna do all the mundane things of our life. I don’t accept call unless it’s a last resort. I don’t care for extracurricular work activities. I don’t accept positions of leadership even because I don’t care for the political bs associated with that. I just punch in punch out. And yet I’m the most decorated employee by the company idk I feel like some people just need that balanced life and don’t want to be married to their work. Doesn’t make them bad employees.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, maybe there was a GOOD reason Derek Carr got so frustrated, he felt he had to yell at his teammates & Pete Carmichael during games last season? The coaches weren’t holding players accountable and weren’t making sure players knew the things they needed to know. If I know Derek Carr, he probably apologized to the players he yelled at afterwards, then explained why he was so frustrated, and then took it on himself to make sure they were all on the same page at the end of the season. Which makes that nonsense Underhill wrote about Carr “Not taking responsibility for the Red Zone offense” at a freaking press conference, even more ridiculous. Carr was probably biting his tongue, to not throw every Coach under the bus, for not focusing the details needed to be successful in the Red Zone and he was going to have to get together with the WR’s and they’d have to coach it themselves. From that point forward, the Red Zone improved dramatically. The miscommunications went down dramatically & so did the on-field blow ups. However, the QB shouldn’t have to do the WR Coach’s job, which is probably why the NEW WR Coach is someone Carr’s known for over a decade who was still working with DaVante Adams in the offseason. ie. Someone Carr trusts to do what he’s supposed to do at a high level.

I dont think that Alvin is washed. However with such an important year and all noise about him falling off while trying for a new contract this year I would like to see him in the building as much as possible. Call me old fashioned.

I get everybody have there opinion but even I wouldn't let a outside team tell me about a player I've watched for there whole career. But that's just me though. I have my own personal view of Derek Carr and it is what it is. You obviously don't like him and it's your right. I just know he's here and we got him. I don't have no regrets.

It's the offseason, I get it, all they can do is either review the past season or speculate on the new season. But some of the takes are so out there I usually pay no attention to most if not all of it until training camp starts. Then I use my eyes and information to make judgement on how things MIGHT turn out during the season. Then I pray they play well.

It's amazing how you translate everything to your convenience because that's what you want to hear but in reality players, coaches and everyone else is saying something totally different! Actions speak louder then words and Kamara's body language speaks volume! He obviously isn't happy and how can you blame him? The guy knows that as long as Carr is the QB nothing really is going to change plus he isn't getting any younger! 💯

Ak really rubbed me the wrong way today with his actions. Stay home if this was your attitude! Saints keep kicking the can down the road to pay injuried players, older players, lack of productivity is gotta too stop!!! Saints are on the hook for Ramcheyck for over 30 million for this season & something crazy for next. His career is likely over but Saints still have to pay him. This team is such in financial strain going into next year our cap is already in 80 plus million in the red it just seems like it will never end.

Kamara was a great player. What have you done for the team lately. Not much. He hasn’t been contributing enough to make a difference. Paying him the bag is going to end up like Elliot and Dallas. Kamara doesn’t make anyone excited like he once did. Prove that you aren’t a shadow of your past self. Too much of a negative vibe from him. In the same category as Thomas and Winston and those two guys are gone. Kamara can be replaced if it’s needed.

Our better players are over being fake about how stupid the last two years have been. They have money and lives, Mickey and co can either give them something decent to work with, or not, but they aren't getting too high or low about it. Also, AK is all action, no talk. Always has been. Look no further than our qb1 to see how empty talk is when it comes to Sunday.
