That table about the support to the qb is linda skewed, it says 19th in rushing offense but we know our rushing attack sucked, in fact we were 31st in ypc, just because we were the 12th team with most rushing attempts doesnt mean our rushing was the 19th in terms of help

That whole "they can beat anybody and then they cant beat the local team" is coaching. They have the talent to compete and when theyre prepared they can beat anybody but there were games in which pete didnt even know what we were going to do, the play with carr as full back coming from a shoulder injury shows it.

No one knows what the current Saints are like as they’ve never played since we cleaned out the OC room. The last play we saw was the offence disobeying Dennis. That’s our last data point. Until week 1 happens it’s all guesswork.

@@captaindeluxe7328 Dude, is that really all you have to say? So many people have said this it's just annoying at this point. Just look at the many things we've done to improve. You obviously don't follow us if that's all you gotta take away from us. One of the first things we did this off-season was fire our whole offensive staff (except for Clancy Borone). We hired a whole new staff like, including our new OC in Clint Kubiak. Our offense should be better thanks to this new system and culture we're instilling. You don't understand how bad and stagnant our offense was the past 2 years, so this new offense will be a welcome change. We had a pretty good draft drafting Taliese Fuaga I. Tmround 1, which should help our O-line quite a bit. Drafted Kool-Aid McKinstry to help beef up our already amazing secondary, drafted Spencer Rattler to have him sit and develop, Bub Means is an exciting pick imo etc. Not to mention we got Chase Young in free agency which should help our d-line. Our defense should still be great. If all you have to say is "oh, they have Derek Carr." Or "Oh, they have Dennis Allen", then just stop. You don't know what you're talking about. Our team is more than that. We've made efforts to get better. You have to give DA some credit. He's one hell of a defensive mind. One of, if not the best in the league. As for Derek Carr, he's good enough to make this system work. Idk why people hate on him so much.

@@captaindeluxe7328 And our aging players are still playing at a good level. Demario is still a top linebacker in this league, and Tyrann has been good for us for the past two years. Cam was playing injured last year, so we'll see what he can do this year. I'm willing to bet he still has a little more gas in the tank.

2023 the KC Chiefs won 11 games. 10 of them against teams that did not make the playoffs. They only beat the Miami Dolphins.

At the start they credit Carr for the offense over performing. Same thing at the end, with the receivers, O-line improving under Kubiak. But when it was time to predict the record. They start worrying if Carr can win games. The math ain't mathing.

Their summary encapsulates what everyones issue is in evaluating the Saints going into 2024. Are they better or worse at this moment than they were at the end of 2023. And the answer should clearly be better. There is debate about how much better, but better. I think it is not significantly better. Instead people are trying to compare where the Saints are today against what they're expectations were for the Saints going into 2023. And their expectations were stupid. Because Pete Carmichael couldn't do the job. Kamara couldn't do the job. Michael Thomas couldn't do the job.

Chris Olaves cap hit in 2024 is actually 5.2 million. His cash is only 2.4, but like most his signing bonus is prorated. It doesn't change your point when comparing Saints and Falcons WR groups. I think Mooney overachieved considering how horrible his QB was in Chicago. One of the worst 1st round QB picks in NFL history, has no business still being in the league. And I think he'll actually thrive with Cousins.

Without injury...Ceiling is 12 wins. Floor is 6 wins. Dennis Allen isn't getting fired if the team wins 7+ games.

@@JamesSkrmetta If the defense holds, and the offense is heading in the right direction. He can survive 7-10. Yeah, one or two balls bounce the right way and they can get 12. One or two bounce the wrong way, 6 wins. The 7 win to 10 win window is most reasonable.

Just let them keep sleeping on the Saints and we'll quietly have a good season. Our O-line is the real question, with Ramcyek out and Penning at RT. Will the rookie Fuaga hold up in the NFL and did the line as a whole improve? They played better down the stretch and Peat did an admirable job at LT but both he and RT Ryan R. are both gone. We got C Eric McCoy, RG Caesar Ruiz, RT Trevor Penning, LT Fuaga, and idk about LG but these guys have to hold up or it's going to be a repeat of last season. Personally I think Penning should be a mauler LG, thats where he shines, firing off of the line and pummeling a defender. Hopefully Kubiaks offense is the answer with the secret sauce that makes an average line look good. I enjoy your videos James keep up the good work.

I'm just tired of this guy with the 9 wins is not bad. No stop letting him brain wash you. The saints win a pointless 9 games they don't win an important 9 games. They beat teams that actually suck but contending NFC wild card teams that you can't lose too due to wild card playoffs implications the saints and Dennis Allen in company lose those games every time.

Maybe, but if we do go that route, the effect on the defense might outweigh the benefits of the move. If Kubiak can right the offensive ship, and everybody knows how good Dennis Allen is as a defensive guy, then it might be the perfect blend.🤷🏿‍♂️👍🏿
