I am gaining an interest in sorting out my style at 52. Today I tried out a white linen button up top. I tied it in a knot at my waist. It's out of my comfort zone but damn, I feel good in it. As I put the garbage out this morning wearing this outfit I thought to myself "look at me putting out the garbage.....in my fancy top.....heehee". I'm enjoying learning from you. ❤️

I have thrifted so many men button up shirts and I rarely grab them to wear and when I do they just worn open as an overlayer or they are button up oversize top. This has given me some other options that will work in my comfort zone. I will look at it again to take notes. I like all the looks on you. I’m a PhD student so I can’t afford much very often but I’ve been saving money to buy a POMP button down this fall, and I am so excited! The shirt always looks so crisp on you no matter how you style it ❤ watch them be sold out again 😂

I LOVE my Power of My People shirts! You introduced me to them years ago. I have 5 shirts and have purchased some for friends. They are fantastic! When buying the Proper fit style I stay with my regular size but for the Wayward (oversized fit) I go down 2 sizes. Just to note: the company recommends only going down one size if you want a relaxed fit rather than an oversized in the Wayward style.

My vibe is cozy, structured minimalism and this is like my kryptonite. Button-up shirts usually need ironing and they're too formal for me, not to mention bulky. I prefer tighter fitting shirts and blouses as I'm petite, my favourites are Zara denim shirts, slim-fitting, not boxy. I also like pussybow blouses which I dress down with jeans or shirts with a small pattern or flowers rather than plain white or blue shirts that remind me of working in an office.

I was able to style it many ways and it was an invaluable piece!
