I grew up with the Scott Bros. Watched Gary race from we were just young kids. We had an awesome time growing up.

My hero. First time spectating at Ascot at 17, mind blown. Go into pits after the race and see Gary's custom-painted Trackmaster Triumph sparkling under the lights and dreamed of someday racing at Ascot. Couple years later, as a first year pro (Novice) on a Trackmaster Suzuki twin, won a few heat races and earned enough point to move to Junior. Built a Champion 750 Yamaha. Just a middle-of-the-pack guy at Ascot, but won regularly on the Corona half-mile. Rolled into the pits at Corona after one win and heard the announcer say that I'd broken Gary Scott's lap record. Wasn't sure whether to believe it or not, but I was riding well. Eddie Lawson and Wayne Rainey were also regulars at Corona at the time, fortunately for me, though, they were still riding 125s. So many great memories.

In a 50 lap tt race at Ascott one afternoon he ran 49 of them within 1/10 of a second. All with a smile on his face. Anyone who new knew him was aware that he loved to ride!

The one guy who could beat the great Kenny Roberts any day respect to 2 fantastic flattrack racers.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. I was friends with his son and lived a few houses down the road. I remember walking through his garage and it was like an operating room.

I was at that Toledo Ohio race. Corky Keener was always my favorite, then Rex, then Kenny.
