Didn't read all the comments ... so ... did anybody already mention that not only the movie itself is a masterpiece, and of course the Rondo, but also this video? A perfect synchronization of pictures, cuts and sound. I wish I could do such videos. Thanks a lot for this one!

The more I learn about Mozart and the more I watch these performances to portray him accurately without having actually known him the more I think Tom Hulce came as close as possible...He sounded like an upbeat guy (and even a prankster) His music has the ability to brighten up even my darkest days.... Bad mood, things not going so well....A Mozart CD in the CD player and you see the sun again....

The movie was wonderfully entertaining but most of it was a fabrication. The scene where Salieri was looking at Mozart’s music could not have been correct as pieces he wrote were out of order, ie, they hadn’t been composed yet. There was no feud between these two and at the time Salieri was a respected composer who did not murder Mozart. Mozart was certainly ahead of his time and was not particularly popular at the time. He was well liked but not as some others. But thank goodness he was born and the world had him for his 36 years on earth, as fragile as he was.

For me both should have won,of course I know that it is not possible but both did a great job,Tom has mega,mega good Mozart embodies above all the absolute love of music that Mozart felt well,brings Tom to full advantage!F.Murray Abraham's embodiment of old Salieri is just as impressive as his young version!By the way,F.Murray learned to conduct for the film every day!For me,both are winners and did a great job,as did the other actors,for example,Elizabeth Berridge (Constanze) and the rest of the crew who worked on Amadeus!I can only say that everyone did a great,great job,everything comes across as real!!!!My absolute favorite film at the moment! ( I always annoy my BFF so that she can watch the film definitely have to watch with me ) And certainly one of the best films,if not the best,that there has ever been about music!!🤗👍

I was pilling up a playlist of all the major composers' work. I thought to myself, from each composer I'll select 3-5 pieces that I like the most. Went well for others. And then there was Mozart. I started to click on the first few pieces of his music, and realize I cannot give any of them up. They are all my "like the most". Then like Salieri, I said to myself, it must be an accident. I kept on clicking, and keeping, and clicking, and keeping, and this process just went on and on and on.... After I don't know how long, when I realize my "Mozart list" has grown WAY longer than the other's, and yet there is still a lot of his major work that I have not clicked, I stopped...with my mouth open, and with full astonishment. I promise If I had those music paper on my hands like Salieri, I would have dropped them all on the floor already as well. Quote Salieri: "It is beyond belief..". The harmony, the joy, the balance, the beauty....It is actually made more sense to me that these pieces are written down just like this, with no corrections. It seems the harmony and balance within simply could not be products of "artificial editions". And if people find such a thing has curing effects, like the "Mozart effect" (Researches that show listening to Mozart has various positive effects on people, like improving IQ), I am not surprised. (and yet I know Mozart has struggled that people always say his magnificent work is due to his talent rather than his hard work. Oh poor man I know you have worked super hard as well throughout your life). Thank you Amadeus. For bringing all this to the humankind.

Once in a very great while, there is a miracle of a movie - this was one! By any measure, it was simply amazing! All of it came together wonderfully with every ingredient contributing. I would love to see it again but only on a big screen with an audience as I did the first time.

I really enjoyed this!!! This movie is a complete gem to the cinema even if not historically accurate. As a historian, I recognize the inaccuracies, but I adore this movie! Probably because of Mozart’s music and the superbly acted roles of Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham. The music of Mozart and Beethoven and J.S. Bach and so many others will live on, I believe. They presented true genius in true artistic form and deserve accolades in this contemporary age. There are great musicians today in all forms - whether in rock, country, jazz, blues, etc. But we will never have another Mozart or Beethoven in that capacity. In that regard, John Williams is such a treasure . There will be others as well, but always treasure those geniuses of their art form on whose shoulders they stand.

Hi. I love this beautiful rondo al’a Turca. This video is one of the most insightful and aestetic understanding of the movie Amadeus I ever seen. A true masterpiece! Like hearing the voice of God.
