I'm more into Crawlers and battery size and placement is obviously important and a well understood tuning method, but was really blown away by how noticeably different the drive was between the 2 shorty packs on a drift chassis. Cool video Brett Cheers 👍

Posting this as i'm literally in the middle of a drift build. Yokomo yd2 rx LImited and just ordered a set of MST changeable offset rims and mst tires from AMain. This will be a great little series to watch! Looks like a pretty nice kit for someone to start with out of the box!

Yea! Super stoked to see you finally doing a drift series its all I do! Get that corner balancer out! Balance the car to as close to a 50/50 Front/Rear balance and you will have a way easier time on the RMX platform! The RMX is great for anyone that isn't sure if you are going to like drifting. If you are the type that always goes all in though getting a kit you assemble yourself is a better option when it comes to money spent as you can quickly get above the skill that the RMX can handle! Cant wait to see more!

With more weight in the rear, throttle management is clear. Try to steer more with the throttle that with the wheel. More throttle= less grip less throttle= more grip. More grip means you can bring the car back from spinning out with an e brake tap or just letting off momentarily.

Stoked to be a big part of this company learning more about RWD RC Drifting! Check out the rear motor vehicles like the MST RRX 2.0 to get a more predictable and easier-to-drive vehicle on a slicker surface. I have the RRX 2.0 and think it is easier to drive than any mid motor RWD drift car.

The RMX 2.0 is soo easy to drift, especially with the gyro. I tried it on hardwood and it felt like easy mode compared to drift sims I‘m used to (Assetto Corsa). Lots of fun and I actually really enjoy having less grip for looong and smooth drifts (throttle control is key). Might even go for even harder tires and add more weight to the chassis. 👍

Brett, as someone who has a bit of experience, you should look into servo tuning as well. I know too many that use Traxxas parts in theirs and wonder why they struggle. Another would be to look at radio tuning or finding out if the radio gear can make a difference in the way the car handles. Lastly, it would be great to compare CS drifting to RWD drift. There’s so much that needs to be discussed between the two and dispelling the myths that “all RC drift is the same” would be a great help.

I can’t drift myself (but I haven’t really tried, it seems pretty hard, and I’m using my brushless, 4wd, off-road 1/14 scale buggy with taped tires 🤣🤣), but watching the car just slide in and out of those spins, cones, and barriers is just super satisfying and addicting! I might give my buggy another go at drifting now! Could you do a video or short series on how to drift, just like the basics, for complete noobs like me?

If your going to be drifting on carpet you should get some yokomo drc tires they are perfect especially with the hobby wing xr10 stock spec brushless system

So here's the thing i learn, its not just the surface any tire can work on any surface, it back to how u control the throttle ...sure the tires help but if ur stuck to 1 tire choice go for a all rounder kind n if its too slippery its how u manage your throttle and thats how RC drifting is

Even through MST made some of my favorite drifting chassis, the tricky thing about this brand is some of the best bodies only sold with RTR cars, which is totally non-tunable, and if you want to upgrade this thing, the only parts will be left on your car may only be the two front axles, screws and of course, the body. Also have to point out that some of the best upgrade parts can have can only be found on the limited KMW chassis, which means they are not sold separately, just like the bodies on these RTR cars, and only 150 or 300 chassis were ever made for each KMW models. If you think Overdose parts are expensive, please take a look at the price tags of each MST upgrade parts, and how much in total they may cost if you want a nearly fully upgraded chassis, it would be at least 3 times of the price of the truly fully upgraded KMW chassis. I’ve got two KMW chassis and a “fully functional upgraded” RMX 2.0, which means it’s all made of plastic and carbon fiber, but functions the same the KMW RMX 2.0, but lighter, which also means, despite the look, it performs even better than my KMW RMX 3.0, but only cost me less than half of the KMW’s price. I’ve got several detailed review videos if you want to have a look.

Hey amain can you do a 2nd stadium truck Rc kit race series?

I have a rc drift car that I mostly use indoors on a hard wood floor can you test the tires on that type of floor too. I've tried different brands but I never knew their were different types of hardness on tyres

Yeah that FXX suffers from not having traction on the where the RMX has the motor and trans in the middle/back giving it way more traction.

Amain needs to stock the DS Racing drift tire lineup considering that they’re the spec tires used in just about all drift competitions globally. Fortunately, MST’s CS-R line of drift tires are allowed as an alternative but would be cool to see more drift tire options though.

So I've been watching your channel I'm purchasing parts from your store for quite a while I just recently purchased my first MSD RMX 2.0 RTR I did get the body I wanted which is the skyline GTR 34 but since I've watched this video I've been dying to put my hands on the mustang LBMT also I've been trying so hard to find out if I can get it already painted red but for some reason I can't find it painted or find out who makes it. Is there any way you could shed some light on this for me

Brett, you mentioned 2 as well as 3S batteries, but for drifting afaik (limited to barely 1 yr experience) you never use 3S.

I tried drifting once. through the dam thing out. Was the lowest boring pos I could have ever had. Do not waste time and money on tires that do squat. These r/cs were meant to go an run fast an not drift. waste of money. chop the tires, put real meat on them. cut through with speed power an real driving. Be a man not a drive it like you stole it. let the cops catch you drifting.

Yyyy...i think ill stay with awd drift. This rwd "donuts" look pretty lame. Car is not even "in slide". It just following the direction of front wheels...doesnt look like fun or "controlled sliding" which definition of drifting is. I dont know...awd is more challenging for me i think

I bought my son an RMX kit. Word to the wise: DON'T GET ELECTRONICS THAT AREN'T MADE FOR DRIFTING! 🙄 I put Traxxas electronics in it and it's not the same!!!
