i wish i had you as a teacher! I just finished my DA classes and started my clinicals and I feel like I know nothing in regards to procedures and tray set ups.

Why did you put the carver before the burnisher? Shouldn’t we put the ball burnisher first in order to smooth the amalgam then we put the carver to carve anatomy. Just curious ???

Good question. I think it’s Dr. preference. I initially worked for 6yrs with a doctor who carved first. When I moved to a different state, the new doctors used the burnisher first. They burnished, carved, and burnished again.

Yes it is! It has the Tofflemire/universal matrix for a class 2 amalgam restoration.
