Where does this pure stupid idea come from? Why not chess and long jump? Or chess and skydiving? Or chess and swimming? Do I need to continue? Are people that bored with chess and boxing they need to mix them to be interested in either of the two? I don't get it. I like to watch the Botez sisters and D. Belenkaya play chess. Their boxing match was a torture for the eyes and the brain. I also enjoy watching Ronaldo, Messi, and Mbappe play soccer. But I'm not interested in seeing them on a tennis court or in a ring.

It’s because they are two polar opposite skill sets buddy, which makes it interesting. Next time it will be better to get more athletic competitors obviously, they do not nor likely will be grandmasters but people in the entertainment space, namely someone like Andrew Tate.

If you aren't interested in it then don't watch it, nobody is forcing you and nobody will care if you don't watch. The interest comes from the idea of brains vs brawn as chess boxing combines the two.
