Even if she sells her shares she should be given an executive position at the club when you see what she done with the Anthony Gordon transfer and Bruno and Big Joe signing we need her in the boardroom her business acumen is excellent 👍👍

Exactly correct. She was on the hook for £3.6mill. Could have been more, but the guy she owed money to, let her off with millions in interest.

Amanda selling her shares does not mean she is going, financially she can’t afford to fund Newcastle United unlike the PIF. She will most likely still operate her day to day duties but she will have less power in the club basically to summarise it

I did wonder how she would be able to carry on without having to dilute her share percentage. I suspect this is good news for the club in the long run. But like others I hope she stays on in some capacity.

Strange to be saying this as he’s my top 3 favourite Newcastle players and I’ve loved him since his Arsenal days - but we need to sell Willock. Far too injury prone and unreliable and once you have Achilles problems they never go. Look at Callum Hudson-Odoi - 70m bid from Bayern turned down, done his Achilles then went to Forest for 4m. Players who rely on bursts of pace and quick movements really struggle. I think we could get 30m+ for him so I’m all for it. Shame but that’s the reality

I actually agree, Willock has played a full 90 minute game once this season. In the summer based on FFP we have to sell some of our players, Willock’s value is still high while also not affecting the actual midfield in the starting 11. He also is now starting to have a horrendous injury record which would damage us long term

It’s a shame because when he’s fit and firing he’s absolute quality - the problem is that’s only 25% of the season (if that) and we can’t afford that with the way Eddie likes us to play. With him signing in 2021 the majority of the transfer fee will be pure profit as well which is great for us FFP wise

@@frankdux5693 my whole comment was based around him snapping his Achilles - doesn’t matter how much he played before that injury. Not many players ever fully recover from Achilles injuries and if they do they’re different players for it having lost a yard of pace. We need to sell and I’m thinking we should sell him whilst he still has high value. Another season like this one next season with less than 2 years on his contract he’ll be worth next to nothing. As well as Callum Hudson-Odoi it finished John Barnes career and David beckhams. Jonathan Walters also retired after snapping his. Willocks one of my favourite players I’d love nothing more than to see him back to his best…. But we won’t unfortunately

If you go onto JV1 Limited, the company through which Amanda Staveley and the Reuben Brothers have their investment in Newcastle, have removed pre emption rights. You can find the forms and shares on the website

Fans have to understand that Amanda is first of all a capital financier which means she might be managing a fund that has NUFC in the portfolio and it will always be profit first and will not be able to match the spending power of PIF or the Reuben bros in the long term. Hopefully she will be involved in the long term in some way especially the womens team.

Technically there’s no obligation on company directors to “run the company”. Running the club is the responsibility of the CEO and his/her executive staff. Does Amanda have an executive position in the club?

her hand is forced as she will probably fail the directors fit & proper test if she is made bankrupt... she was recently ordered to pay back £3.4m to a private individual who lent her the money... she has also borrowed £1.259m of nufc money to pay her legal fees in an additional copycat scenario... this is in addition to £26k a week for 9 months work for 'strategic services' totalling just under £1m... this is why she is selling now.
