Around this time, Souness's tactics and man to man management were very outdated, and belongs in a different age. I understand, he wanted to in still discipline into the club, but the modern footballer who earns millions isn't going to put up with it.

He’s taken care of Newcastle financially, isn’t that enough? He just said he’ll stop putting money into the club because he doesn’t have the resources to compete so instead he made them self sustainable and tbh that’s good enough. Look at Sunderland, Derby & etc they’re not self sustainable. Premier league clubs had to take a loan to cover the costs during covid.. The club can now spend £150-200million without breaching FFP rules.
@Aerojet01
@Aerojet01 6 ай бұрын
@@mohtheshamelessnewcastlepl4602 I don't think Ashley knew what he was getting himself into. Running a football club is different to running a low end sports business, especially a big club like Newcastle. Yes, there is the finance side of football of balancing books, but you also have to show ambition to keep the fans happy. I think Ashley saw the club as a means of expanding his business emperor and living a celebrity life style by appearing at football matches and attracting the press. He made some bizarre football decisions that almost ruined the club.

carragher is spot on souness sounds bitter and Jamie redknapp is an Ashley cheerleader. I’m so glad we now have owners who are willing to invest in the whole club

To think this was 8 years after he took over the club. I hope he at least feels some sort of guilt for the way he treated us fans and our club after all these years.

Wont sell until he as won something . Promotion didn't count as winning anything just returning it to where it was before you had it . All he managed todo was keep them stable , bigger version of burnley without the decent manager aiding in achieving it . New era may end up in going down this year

Saudi Arabia will not accept anything but to be the strongest among the Arab owners of European clubs, Man City, Paris Saint-Germain, and I am sure that this club, Newcastle United, will sweep all European clubs.
