I have realized that my family has made me so anxious when being around them. Growing up I was teased and bullied, so as I got older I have set boundaries with them and realized I carried that resentment as an adult.

At 42, I am very impressed at how introspective you are at 27. If only I could have been that in tuned with my emotions and how people/situations impacted my life at your age. But as the saying goes... "You live and you learn". So, at this big age of mine (lol), I am learning to do the work and allow myself some grace. Thanks for the invite into your family weekend 😍

Hellooo.. I am a new subscriber and this is the third video I watched from your channel today. I was like I feel connected to this sista and couldn't pinpoint the connection.... Untilll I saw this episode. I too am from Miami and live in Atlanta alone learning about myself. My daughter left home to go to college, I lost both of my parents recently, and had a bad break up. Through counseling I am learning that the grief/mourning is important to feel on your healing journey, and these things must be unpacked and explored.
