First off is one of the highest coffeeshops we’ve EVER been to! Talk about jelly legs! Then there was no way we weren’t going to visit the brand new, fancy shopping mall in Bangkok, EmSphere… and did you know they have a sky bar?! It just gets better and better! Bangkok is SO cool!

The nice thing about Bangkok is they really know how to design experiences. Like a coffee shop isn't just a coffee shop in Bangkok. They really go a step beyond and think of creative ways to make it a unique experience, as shown here. But this is just one example, there are so many different designs for cafes, hotels. clubs, restaurants, malls etc. That's what they're really good at. Basically their whole city is one massive instagram photo shoot literally everywhere. It's like France to me where everywhere you look is a photo because it is overwhelmingly ornate, cute or funky so it's almost pointless to take photos. Also, there's a separate outdoor entrance for Arabica where the taxis drop you off at Empire. That is the more obvious main entrance to access. I had trouble finding it too until I went outside.

Now in Bangkok there are newly opened Guysorn mall and One Bangkok project. Or Cafe' shops in Ari area. 😊 Bangkok Motor show is the largest car show in Southeast Asia. ( MRT pink lines )

If you are staying in Bangkok and using the BTS you should definitely get the Rabbit card. Top of my head also works in some mall food courts etc. Initial price 100b with the same value on card, easy to get from any BTS station.

Filled out the survey but had no idea what dollar amount to use. Depends on the derails I guess. It would be fun to travel with you. While I feel comfortable traveling all over Thailand alone, I'd feel more comfortable in a group for my first trip to Vietnam.

I’m heading back to Bangkok after 2 years not visiting. I might stick to Terminal 21 for cheap shopping mall Pad Kaprao but could be tempted by that pool side bar with cocktails at Australian prices 😅

Planning on going to Thailand next year. What area would you recommend to stay in for first timers in Bangkok who are only there for 5-7 days? As nice (and cheap) as the place you stayed in looked, an hour into the city centre each day might be a bit much, especially with a 6 year old in tow.

This mall is a premium place for beautiful environment and premium street food. It is of course more expensive because you pay for the experience ; environment and ambient. The restaurants are selected famous Thai street foods and western food that are all in one place.

I love Quarter On-nut as well but my partner says a bit far, but over all good food and great services. I like the room though - especially air-con not too noisy like most hotel used a big Air-con. Which is very loud spining of fan.

2:20 depends 100% on where you stay. And most tourists fall into the "you must go to the craaazy party area" trap, and end up thinking those few tiny streets is what the entire city is. If i stayed in khao san road or the party roads near asok, i'd hate it. Just think about it, there are millions of people living in Bangkok, 99% of the city is NOT like that. But staying in non-party areas, it's an incredible city with wonderful chill locals.

Hello!! Oh that’s so exciting, a few “main” central areas are Asok or “little Japan” where there are many nice hotels! Otherwise if you want something more fancy, then down towards the river by iconsiam is also a good area!

We want to love Bangkok as much as we love KL! Excited to visit. Do you know of a good place to stay with shops + restaurants near a mall? We have 3 kids so sometimes it’s nice to escape the traffic + heat in the mall, but we still want plenty of eating/exploring on the street too. Thks ahead for any tips 🙏

Stay near Siam BTS and visit Central World/Siam Paragon shopping malls and insane food courts in each of them (top floor central world, bottom floor siam paragon). You can then venture out anywhere on the BTS

When you have hot & spicy food, never drink cold water Let try warm or hot, it can help.

a growing trend in SE Asia with this type of hip "food court". it's more like an Instagram stop. Prices are set high, I agree with you. next time, don't hesitate, just skip & go somewhere else.
