I remember working on the assembly line when the Pink Panter came down the line. Never saw it in pink buy in primer as it was headed for the body shop to get it's pink paint job. I eventually became a welder and welded up a few of the Tiger rear frames also. Otherwise was a rear frame welder for Steiger for 17 years. The Tiger, 427 horse 6 cylinder touted a 24 hour fuel supply.

Nice 'walk around' , thanks for the descriptions too. The Raygo Wagner caught my attention, as I worked for a large Raygo dealer in Canada back in the 1970's. We sold and rented the Raygo vibratory drum rollers. We, at the time, enjoyed a very popular sales business in this Roller series for soils and asphalt compaction. I still have a couple of the Raygo service manuals . Thanks again for the walk through (my) memory lane !

Hats off to Chris and his team - there's huge enthusiasm and extreme dedication there! Most people view these grand ladies as nothing more than outdated scrap metal, but it's great to see them restored and preserved - especially the rare and the early serial numbered machines. Keep up the great work! As I read elsewhere on the same subject: "These icons helped feed us in their day, now we need to look after them in their retirement". So true, and wonderful to see it done so well! We don't all live in cities and a lot of us grew up on farm machinery. Does Chris put some of these in classic machinery rallies or fairs? Where is his operation located? Also, are enthusiastic visitors allowed? Are they displaying their lovely collection somewhere? Again - absolutely amazing, nobody else has quite a collection like these! Many thanks.

"Awaiting restoration" That's rich! This guy isn't a collector, he's an accumulator. When the 'restoration' has to begin with a chainsaw, you no longer have a collection, it's a junk yard. These machines aren't 'collected'- they're rotting away. To each his own, and I realize he has a business to run, but don't praise this guy. Someone else might have actually done something with them, instead of letting the weeds grow up around them.

Wonderful video, thank you for sharing. It`s a shame they are just sitting there, doing nothing. A farmer local to me in the UK, had a few in his collection, put an advert in one of the magazines asking for help to restore some of his machines, had it written in a contract that if any get restored, he will not sell it to make profit for a minimum of ten years, to keep the volunteers from thinking they were cheap labour etc . Had a regular band of mostly retired mechanics and tractor fans turn up in one of his sheds, all parts - paints etc paid for by the farmer, and as much tea coffee and refreshments you could drink. Once a year he held a mini tractor show and BBQ as a thank you to his regular helpers. As far as I know, they still turn up and help him with his tractors, and not one has been sold. Wonder if this collector has thought of doing this, might get them restored a bit quicker.
