Hi, love your videos. Quick question. After crumb coating and chilling, do you return the cake back to room temperature before adding the final layer of italian meringue buttercream? If the cake is still cold from the crumbcoat, wont applying the final layer of frosting break the meringue from the butter?

Honestly this looks so creative and amazing, but realistically I can’t imagine seeing myself eat more than a one inch thick slice of this cake. Am I the only one? Are these types of cakes supposed to be eaten like that in small portions? I’m from a Slavic family and we tend to use more fruits in cakes. One of my favorite Slavic cakes is known as the Napoleon cake, that one doesn’t have any fruits but if it’s made right it’s so amazing. To be honest, out of all the cakes I’ve tried in my life, American style cakes are by far my least favorite (cakes with icing, cookies, etc). Those types of cakes I eat like a tiny bit and I already feel sick to my stomach. A good cake like my family makes, I can eat a lot and I’ll be totally fine, just very full😆
